The first 12 hrs I owned my truck, it died, had it towed up there. Two days later, a battery alternator and fuse box it was good. Its been down hill ever since. I tell everyone this, the first 10 weeks I ow up there. Two days later, a battery alternator and fuse box it was good. Its been down hill ever since. I tell everyone this, the first 10 weeks I owned the truck, 8 of those weeks it was in Epsom getting fixed, they kept telling me how mint of a condition my truck was when it kept breaking..its a 2008 Chevy Sivlerado 2500hd LTZ, gorgeous truck but they couldn't fix any issues so I had enough and told them to send it to a dealership to get fixed and low and behold, Banks Chevy in Concord fixed everything in 4 hrs and I haven't had a problem since....Defiantly do NOT recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle at Tims Truck capital. Recently purchased a used Silverado. Looked around for a bit. Stumbled across Tim's. Great part was lots of trucks. Bad part was pricing. They ask full retail or MORE on their trucks saying they are in bit. Stumbled across Tim's. Great part was lots of trucks. Bad part was pricing. They ask full retail or MORE on their trucks saying they are in great shape. They do LOOK very good, but are not serviced as well as I would've liked (and this is coming from someone that spent 10 years in the car business including being a Service Manager at a great factory dealer). They offered below book value on my trade saying it was not the car that it was and it would only retail for $12k (funny they have it listed for $15k). One week after I had the truck, the check engine light came on, there was a knocking noise in the front end, the service transmission light came on and the service brake light came on. Brought it in. There customer service was okay at best. They fixed the check engine light, knocking noise and supposedly fixed the brake issue which was a speed sensor? (still get the service brake light and front pads measure less than 3/32nd's; barely passing inspection). Salesperson was good, but very new. Owner thinks he's smarter than the customer. Be cautious when buying here. More
After a few awful experiences on my search for a used vehicle (I wrote a review about Peter's Kia of Nashua detailing the worst of it) I stumbled across Tim's when I was looking at a particular make and vehicle (I wrote a review about Peter's Kia of Nashua detailing the worst of it) I stumbled across Tim's when I was looking at a particular make and model of car. I had come to the conclusion that a small crossover SUV was too expensive for me and was entertaining a little bit of a fantasy that a Dodge Charger might work for what I needed--basically, a car that could safely commute 65 or so miles per day and fit a car seat and other baby gear in the back. One salesman at another dealership told me that it was too small, but all the reviews I read said otherwise, so I did a search on autotrader.com for Chargers and came across the one at Tims. I e-mailed them and had the pleasure of corresponding with Ben, the sales manager. He helped me find the best time for me to come see the car, was very laid back and nice about the visit, and I got to test drive the Charger, which was not only a big car and had a ton of room in the back and trunk but was the best car I'd test-driven out of several. I also really liked the dealership a lot better. It was all used cars, and the office area was large, relaxed and comfortable. The sales staff and the support staff were dressed informally--no slicked-back hair and ties--and the atmosphere was also relaxed. No one tried to talk me out of looking at the car I wanted to see or tried to steer me to a car they wanted to get rid of, they asked what I was there to see, nodded and said it was a nice car, and that was that. I interacted with Matt that day, and when I came back to make the purchase, worked with a nice guy named Nate. My biggest concern after locating a car I liked was financing--I'd had some really crummy experiences with Peter's of Nashua and Toyota of Nashua. I have somewhat bad credit and I was prepared for a high APR on my loan, but Peters quoted me a price and then tacked on an $800 finance charge that they didn't mention until I was actually signing papers to take my new car home. Toyota's salesman quoted me a payment and assured me I wouldn't pay higher than that...but then the finance manager called and told me otherwise. At least they called me! At Tims, Ben ran the financing and quoted me a payment with a promise that it wouldn't change. Well, it didn't go up, but the finance company actually sent me a letter shortly after I bought the car telling me they had overestimated the charges and so my payment actually went down a tiny bit. After what happened to me before, this was great! I was supposed to take the car to my mechanic before I made any deal but the weather didn't cooperate and I ended up buying it with their promise that if my guy found anything wrong with it they would fix it, and so they did. The only pressing issue he found was a small leak in the transmission pan which they happily fixed while I waited at the shop. The service was quick, and again, I got to hang out with a very friendly staff. Price--the only reason I say good instead of great is that the sticker price was a little higher than NASD list (but not by much) and after the awesome experience I had plus all the energy I'd already used up at the other places I was looking, I didn't bother to haggle. I didn't pay more than a couple hundred over list, and seriously, I was happy to do so. I've had the car about a month and it's been fantastic. It meets all my needs, it's fun to drive and buying it was actually fun and not a painful chore. When my poor ancient pick-up truck finally dies, I know where my first stop is for buying a new one! This dealership is mainly trucks but they do have other types of cars come through from time to time and honestly, they are easy to deal with and are just a really nice group of people. I definitely recommend them! More
