While having service done on my Hyundai Tucson I was looking around at new cars and a salesman came out and was talking to me. Said give him a minute and he would get me the key to look at the inside an looking around at new cars and a salesman came out and was talking to me. Said give him a minute and he would get me the key to look at the inside and check it out. I waited for a while and he came back out after about 10 minutes. I looked at it and said it did look nice and told him I would have to mention it to my wife when I got back home. On my way back after having service done I stopped to eat even after the lady from the service department said they had to jump my car off. Saying it may have a battery issue. I think they just left the key turned on without it running and drained the battery. The next day I get a credit alert saying it was ran through the dealership a several different financial institutions the day I was there having service done. The salesman never asked about running my credit nor did I ever tell them to check my credit for the vehicle. I was just looking around while waiting and said I would mention it to my wife for consideration. That should not be enough for them to think they have consent to run a credit check. Now I know why it took him ten minutes or more to get a key. He got my name and information from the service department as I only told him my first name. Now I have a hit on my credit for a year or more because of a salesman wanting to jump the gun. Now if we do buy I know to go else where that has more esthetical practices for doing business. More
When I setup my appointment online through their site it confirmed my appointment two days latter they called and said they couldn't do it on that date and we worked out a day to do it on. I called the day before to reconfirm the appointment time and they couldn't find the information. They called back and said it was the day after we agreed on. I went in for that appointment and seemed they couldn't find the information when I went to check in. They still was able to do the recall work and oil and filter change. I had drove an hour and 45 minutes to the dealership. Yet when it came time to pay a leave the lady said my car had died during the computer update and it had to be jumped off due to the battery. And asked if I had been having battery issues. And wanted me to be aware incase of issues after leaving. I drove back home with no issues and have yet to have any. I am thinking they had my car switch on without it running was the issue and didn't want to come out and say they made a mistake. I do have to say the waiting area is nice. Those working in the service dept. office need to get organized if they want to keep customers. More
