The standard service was fine, and staff was friendly and attentive. But the quote to repair a broken tailgate latch was exorbitant. I was quoted $586, and I declined to have the service center fix it. I attentive. But the quote to repair a broken tailgate latch was exorbitant. I was quoted $586, and I declined to have the service center fix it. Instead, I bought the part online and changed out the old latch for a new one in ten minutes. I expect to pay more for repairs at the service center, but there is a limit to what is reasonable. Additionally, I was charged $150 to diagnose that the latch was broken. If this diagnosis entailed only opening the hatch (from the inside) and recognizing the latch didn't work, then I paid too much. I already knew the problem. But my bad. I will tell other people to be wary of repair estimates from the service center. More
