My Nissan Altima was in the Tim Dahle Southtowne shop on several occasions this summer and we spent close to $3,000 on the car. Most recently they had the car in their shop for 2 weeks and couldn't find anything wrong with the car and wouldn't provide us with a car to use while they kept our car in the shop. We decided to look at newer cars and Nissan Rogue was one of the cars we decided to consider. I received a letter offering $4,412 for my 2005 Nissan Altima if I showed up on a specific date. We went to the dealership about a week after this specific date. We set an appointment with a sales representative that was referred to us by Leslie in the service department. That sales person passed us to another sales person. The second sales person had the car inspected and said he could offer us $3,100. Approximately 2 weeks later we took the car into the dealership and we were offered $2,000 for the car (nothing about the car had changed). Today (11/22/2021) I received a letter in the mail saying that if I appear at their store 2 days ago (11/20/2021) I will receive $4,712 for this same car. Nowhere in the letter does it state that this offer is subject to me purchasing a car from them or subject to an inspection. Tim Dahle's records should know the mileage, status and condition of this car. They have been the only dealer to work on it during the past 5+ years. The second letter was pretty much identical to the first letter we received. I called to speak with the person that signed the letter (Tyler Slade, GM). I wanted to know why the amount they offer in the letter is so different from what they offer when I am on their lot. I was told Tyler Slade was in a meeting. I asked for his email address or to leave him a voicemail. The person that answered the phone promptly hung up on me. I called back and nobody would answer the phone. Car Dealers and Car Sales people wonder why they are considered so sleazy. More
Jake Unger helped me with my new car purchase yesterday. He was super helpful and patient. He gives of a such a friendly vibe and is very easy to communicate with. I'd definitely work with him again. 3 years ago I leased a vehicle from this dealership. When the time came to end my lease I had decided that I wanted to purchase my vehicle and I had the means to do so without refinancing it. Nick and When the time came to end my lease I had decided that I wanted to purchase my vehicle and I had the means to do so without refinancing it. Nick and Brandon tried to tell me I would need to pay fees that were not listed in the contract such as an additional $1295 Tim Dahle Southtowne specific fee for buying my lease and an additional $1000 fee because I wasn't going to refinance the vehicle. They must have been hoping I wouldn't read my contract, that I wouldn't contact Nissan Financial Services and that I wouldn't contact other Nissan dealerships to conduct the transaction. Please know that when you lease you can return your vehicle to ANY Nissan dealership. In the end, I conducted my transaction with Ken Garff Nissan SLC and paid roughly $3200 less than what I was quoted/offered here. Know your rights. Nick, Brandon, and this dealership that trained them were betting on my ignorance, to make a buck. More
Since I purchased the vehicle in late 2019, I have yet to be satisfied with anything pertaining to this dealership. Seriously, I could fry an egg on my head after each visit for service. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had buying a car with a dealership. Do not go here. Believe the bad reviews. There are a lot of them for a reason. car with a dealership. Do not go here. Believe the bad reviews. There are a lot of them for a reason. More
Salesman (Billy) was responsive and worked well with us. We couldn’t meet at a price that met both of our needs so we didn’t buy there. I’d give him another try if we’re in the market again. All I can say is bait and switch. We went a little over All I can say is bait and switch. We went a little over a week ago and looked at 12 to 15 passenger van. They had a few used ones and we wanted to looked at a Ford transit that they had. They brought it out and we looked it over. we drove it around the lot and then looked at a Nissan 12 passenger 2014 that was beat like nothing else. It had belonged to a school with crumbs and who knows what all over the floor. We decide to not look at the Nissan van anymore and went back to looking at the Ford transit that was still sitting there. We asked to take it out for a drive and had my brother in law look it over. It looked great and agreed that the price being asked for it was worth buying. We went in and started the process of buying the vehicle. We got approved quickly due to high credit rating (high 700s) and paid a down payment. We walked out to the Ford transit got handed the keys and we drove off. We got home in Idaho the next day on Saturday and was showing it off to family and friends. By the following Tuesday we get a text from our sales rep that they goofed (big time). They had mixed up tags on the keys and they had sold us the wrong car and they needed to get the paperwork fixed. As a reassurance they said it was all their fault and they would keep price the same but they would have to send us updated contract to show correct car. Didn’t think much about it till we got contacted the next day with the news they goofed up but they want me to come onto their site because they want the vehicle back because it was worth 7000 more and our options was come get the vehicle on the contract that we never looked at or seen; or pay more to keep the vehicle we have up in Idaho. THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A BAIT AND SWITCH. Right now in the process of trying to get this worked out but an utter nightmare. They have admitted point blank that they made the mix up but we have to fix their mistake with the promise that they Will cover gas to bring it back. That’s right we were shown a vehicle and bought it used “as is”. Now there back tracking because they are losing some money on a van. Very nice when selling but not willing to own up to their mistakes. we bought the car on 10/15/21. Look up Ford transits that were sold that day if interested in finding contact information. More
I question the competence of the mechanics. My first Nissan was in the shop 2 summers ago. I spent $4,000 on a car that wasn't worth that and then a week later I took the car back because it was leaking fluid. They had done something wrong and they owned up to it. They fixed the problem no charge but it was a hassle. Now my second Nissan has been in the shop 3 or 4 times this summer. We have spent $3,000 on this vehicle this summer. I had to take it back in and they have had the car for 8 days and can't figure out what is wrong with the car. At the same time, I took my first Nissan back into the shop and they are charging me another $3,000 to fix it (2 years after I spent $4,000 on this car). This, along with not being able to determine what is wrong with my 2nd Nissan is why I question the competence of their service department. More

This appl Takes the joy out of acquiring a new vehicle. ▪️ Be aware that the price they post on the cars and on the Internet is NOT the real price. This applies ONLY if you go with the bank or credit union which they want. (They added around $2,000 more bucks onto the price because we had the loan already set up with our own bank. We had told them about our loan from the start. I guess this explains why they repeatedly tried to pressure us into going with THEIR preferred bank?) ▪️ You may think that things are pretty set when you go to sign the deal. And then they will tack on several thousand dollars in various things which they may not have discussed with you at all! (For us this was about $6,000) ▪️ We objected to some things and had them remove about $4,000 from those last minute additions. After which they became sullen and dragged the process out much longer than it needed to be. ▪️It took about another week longer than expected. Where they were formerly willing to let us drive the car off the lot that day, now they wouldn't let us have the vehicle until our bank paid them in full. (This is a nationally recognized bank. They were just making things extra difficult at that point.) ▪️ Came to finally do the pickup. No one knew what I was talking about for awhile. The salesperson who said he'd be there wasn't. ▪️ Found some new issues with the vehicle on pickup. It will have to be serviced. So much for the thoroughness of their multi-point inspection process.
