I never write reviews but this was absolutely warranted if it helps save just one person from buying from this crooked dealership. I even have pictures and voice recordings to prove this experience but unf if it helps save just one person from buying from this crooked dealership. I even have pictures and voice recordings to prove this experience but unfortunately they can't be uploaded. I recorded my experience because I knew dealings with dealerships can be shady. I found a car on Carfax for $11,228 being sold by Tim Dahle Nissan in bountiful. This was a great deal that I thought was due to the coronavirus pandemic or something. I knew there would be taxes and fees involved but Kelly blue book says as a general rule to expect 10% in those. I called on this car and asked for total out the door pricing with all fees. I wanted a price for if I paid cash upfront or if I did my financing through them. Mitch is the one who originally helped me and sent me the breakdown of the fees and total pricing. Out the door pricing for this car posted for $11,228 with upfront cash was $16,665 and financing through them was $15,165. I couldn't believe what I saw. I asked a breakdown of the fees and Mitch told me $1,479 was for shop fees to clean up the car and putting two new tires on it and the rest of the fees were tags, documentation, etc. I told him that was insane and that I wouldn't pay more than $13,000 for the car. Which I felt I was being generous since that was well over 10% of the original posted price. Mitch haggled with me back and forth. He dropped it to $14,800, $13,700, and then finally $13,500. (Although the last documented haggle they have on their end was $13,700 of course) I told him again I thought I was being generous and if they expect to add over 20% on the price of the car then they need to advertise that. I told him I'd come down to test drive and talk with them if they could get it closer to $13,000. I then get a call from the manager Kyle. He asked if I had even driven the car and I said no but that I wanted to make sure the car was in my price range before I spent an hour driving down to their lot. He said I should expect 12-15% increase after fees and everything. I told him that even if we added 15% to the original price, it would come out to $12,900 so I was being generous in my offer. He said he would get it close to $13,000 and to come for a test drive. (This all took hours of back and forth by the way) I drive an hour down there, find scrapes all over the car but figure hey maybe that's why it was priced so well and I can deal with it. I take it for a test drive and decide to buy it. The salesman tried to haggle a little but I said I already told them $13,000 in our hours long back and forth on the phone. He agreed to it and had me sign under $13,000 to promise that's what I'll do. Then he comes back a while later with the wonderful manager Kyle who then says that they can't do $13,000. I said that's why I drove down because you said you would get it down to $13,000 and to come drive it. He said with their $1500 "worry free" check that the lowest they could go was $14,800! I said why did you say something different on the phone, why is your ad advertising the vehicle for $11,228, and even with your high 15% taxes and fees you would be at $12,900 but somehow we're adding an additional $2000 dollars somewhere? He went on to point out the fine print on Carfax that the dealer may have extra fees. I then said that's why I called them! And that he's not even going to $13,500 which was the lowest offer on the phone! He said he would get the absolute lowest number they would go which turned out to be $14,500. Seriously an absolute joke. I wasted my entire day, two hours driving, and endless hours talking to salesmen. This place is crooked and takes advantage of you. They try to squeeze every penny out you and hide thousands of dollars of fees. They falsely advertise, try to lure you into their lot just to try to play off your emotions. I will make sure this company loses business from many people, they don't deserve to have business because of the way they run things. More
Never ever again doing business with this dealer I felt like the financial guy forced us to have a 10 year warranty. And at the end of the contract there was another 5 year warranty that we didn’t talk ab like the financial guy forced us to have a 10 year warranty. And at the end of the contract there was another 5 year warranty that we didn’t talk about. We went the next day to make an amendment but they were rude and didn’t want do it. Think twice before buying. More
Mr. Grin (manager) keeps his word. Mr. Grin, the manager, went above and beyond to help me. He took the time to meet with me and kept his word. Considering that I already bought my ca Mr. Grin, the manager, went above and beyond to help me. He took the time to meet with me and kept his word. Considering that I already bought my car in January, he didn't have to help me but he did. He didn't benefit from helping me, but he kept his word and that speaks volumes! More
These people were very dishonest. Lied about another vehicle at another dealership already being sold. Charged me for stuff I wasn’t told about. When I called they said the finance guy was with a custom vehicle at another dealership already being sold. Charged me for stuff I wasn’t told about. When I called they said the finance guy was with a customer and he would get right back with me. He didn’t and of course when I called back he was “gone” for the day. Talked to a manager who “couldn’t” help me. Awful service. I also looked at my warranty contract which shows I did not ask for the service contract. The manager pretty much said too bad. I had left a message for Cord in finance he never called back and went home. I went out there with a budget. I’m a single mom needing a vehicle that will last a long time but in a budget, and they just add charges that I specifically stated I did not want. Be very careful dealing with this dealership. Very very dishonest and you’ll end up paying much lore than you’re told. More
I was excited to come in and look at the car we have been wanting. After going in and deciding to purchase the vehicle it was a good experience until it wasn't. We told our salesman that we had our own fin wanting. After going in and deciding to purchase the vehicle it was a good experience until it wasn't. We told our salesman that we had our own financing, so our salesman told us that since we have our own financing then they would have to charge us an addition $1,200.00 because they get a kick back for every sale that they find the financing for. I was okay with this $1,200.00 at the time just so i could have it through my bank. We signed papers and we were on our way. A week later I call my bank regarding this auto loan and they stated that they haven't heard back from Tim Tahle Nissian Bountiful. I contacted the dealership and they said that they got me a better rate through a different credit union and it has been finalized. I called my salesman (Mitch) and finace guy (Brad) and requested money back since they put the fee of $1,200.00 on my loan for the kickback and are now getting a kickback from the bank they got the loan from. I kept getting told by Brad and Mitch that they promise to give me a call back however, I would never receive a call back from either of them. After dealing with the run around for 2 weeks I finally contacted the manager (Ryan) he assured me that he would get this issue taken care of for me and gave me his number so I could text him for updates on the process (he had to talk to the general manager) a few texts were exchanged and he got it approved to write me a check. I have reached out to him multiple times with no response. When we purchased the vehicle they had a "we owe" list of things we wanted them to fix on the vehicle in order for us to purchase it. We reached out multiple times for us to get it fixed and a month and a half later they finally set up a day for us to take the car it. We dropped the car off on a Wednesday and was supposed to get it back on Saturday but then we recieved a call on Friday stating that the car wont be ready until Monday night. So we set it up to get it Tuesday morning. When we confirmed on Monday about it being done, we were informed it wouldnt be done until Tuesday afternoon. I then went to pick the vehicle up on Tuesday afternoon and had to wait because the car wasnt ready, finally the car was done and we went to go out to inspect the car and a trim piece was hanging down (wasnt like this when we dropped it off, we took before and after pictures in their parking lot) since the trim was hanging I had to wait for them to fix it in order to leave. Got in the car to find out the stereo was all the way up and they used all of the gas we had in the tank by taking the vehicle off the property which when we dropped the vehicle off we have recording of them saying it wasnt going to go off the property. We reached out to the salesman Mitch and service guy wanting to know why there were extra miles put on the car and we were told two different stories. We wouldnt have cared if the car went off the property, just would have been nice to receive a call stating that it was going to leave when we were told that it wasnt going to. We have not heard back from our salesman Mitch since we reached out about the two different stories. I recommend everyone steering clear from this location. Once the deal is done the salesman, finance and manager don't care about you. Save your time and go to another dealership like I wish I did. More
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS! The biggest group of scam artists in on place I've ever seen. Sell you a car that has issues they knew about promise to fix the issues then won't cover anything and tell you artists in on place I've ever seen. Sell you a car that has issues they knew about promise to fix the issues then won't cover anything and tell you it's your fault. Very expensive lesson in trusting even if you knew them. Now you really do. Just go somewhere else More
******BUYERS BEWARE*******You do not have to get any ******BUYERS BEWARE******* You do not have to get any kind of warranty on your new/use auto in order to get financing or extra coverage. But GAP is a ******BUYERS BEWARE******* You do not have to get any kind of warranty on your new/use auto in order to get financing or extra coverage. But GAP is a must.. Make sure you get everything in writing, I mean everything in writing even if is a license plate cover, a set of pens, or anything they promise. DO NOT TRUST their words. I have been dealing with them over a year on trying to get My miles paid as part of my trade in and in return I leased two vehicles with them within days. This will be my 6th lease with Nissan. They had promised that it was all taken care of and not to worry.. at that time Nissan had changed their software. After a year of trying to resolve this issue the only way they want to help me resolve it is if I, or someone close to me buys another vehicle from them. "They Will Be Able to fix this Issue" I was upset and told the sales person for a whole year you were giving me the run-a-round to bring you the paperwork from Nissan so that your Finance manager would take care of it but then nothing happen.. Now I need to get another vehicle in order to fix this issue when I have proof that you promised the miles where going to be taken care off. Why would I lease two vehicles knowing that I owe money!. At the end the sales employee and manger blamed ex-employees that are no longer there for this mistake. Their all nice when they ask you to give them 100% survey reviews. Now I have a negative impact on my credit report and have to come up with out of pocket expenses. I will be Filling a CFPB and Better Business Bureau Complaint. Please go to your local financial institution to get your financing done before you have the dealer help you with the financing. I have always had a bad experience with Tim Dahle Nissan Dealers. More
I went to this dealership on the premise of the forever warranty. When I arrived I had no idea my credit was so good. Our first clue should have been a Little Old Man walking around pleasantly but concerne warranty. When I arrived I had no idea my credit was so good. Our first clue should have been a Little Old Man walking around pleasantly but concerned that he had been taken advantaged of. Assistant Manager Mr. Grin quickly corralled him away from us. My salesperson Mitch started the magic trick off by redirection. Never once showed me the price of the car, even when I asked. His statement was "If we keep the payments between 350-360 would that work for you." I did say yes and they have you sign the paper, while I am asking for the total price. They did not tell me my trade in offer either until I was in the finance office to sign my papers. They did not tell me the price of the car until I was in the finance office. My fiance noticed the rims on the car were horribly scarred. I was about to put a stop to the whole thing but kind Assistance GM Grin came to the rescue with statements of "we will do this, we will do that." Now lets talk about the finance robber, named Brad. Who just starred at me from across the desk like he could care less about anything I had to say. He put every useless products on my car, permaplate, brake plus, key loss, which I know for a fact I said no. I am now in one year older, yes less miles but not nearly as nice as my trade in. By the way, they would not even give me the $1400 dollars required to pay off my lease to break me even, they put it on top of my loan. I am in a 84 month loan at $353 dollars a month. Today I took it to another dealership in Murray for my first 3,000 mile, $300, free oil change and guess what? My transmission is blown and brakes and rotors as ruined. Yes, warranty will pay for the transmission but of course not the brakes and rotors, that will be $500 dollars. How in the world did this car pass inspection? Oh, that's right Utah got rid of safety inspections. How convenient for a dealership like this...I have no idea how they sleep at night. Sincerely, Oh Yeah There Are Friendly Robbers out there!!! They move through car deals so fast your head spins and you don't know what your signing for until it all comes out in the end. By then it's too late and you have been taken.
