I'm tired of this dealership getting a bad rap! I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. I have purchased 5 cars from this dealership (the last 3 from Al) and each time I have found them he had nothing but positive experiences with them. I have purchased 5 cars from this dealership (the last 3 from Al) and each time I have found them helpful, friendly, honest and motivated to make me a great deal! I never felt pressured or rushed. When I had a problem with one of my Toyotas they worked to find a solution that was fair and equitable! The service department is also wonderful - when I need servicing they get me in and out quickly or get me home. I especially enjoy my dealings with Frank Gardea. Thank you TO Toyota for everything! I got stuck in Thousand Oaks with a broken drive belt on my 2003 Camry. Toyota Repair "Advisor" Anthony Ruiz gave a written quote of $98 to repair broken "drive belt" (which I later found out through my ho my 2003 Camry. Toyota Repair "Advisor" Anthony Ruiz gave a written quote of $98 to repair broken "drive belt" (which I later found out through my honest mechanic, Victor Vongchaisaree of Santa Monica VC Automotive, was the only reason my car overheated). Then, Toyota of Thousand Oaks, Anthony Ruiz called me later and said another belt would be added but none was, and charged me a total of $146. Then, Anthony Ruiz said my radiator was damaged and the radiator was not holding pressure via a test. So, rather than replace radiator cap he insisted that I needed a new radiator at $500 and warned me my car would over heat which it didn’t. I lost a whole day driving to LA to have my said mechanic make an additional repair that wasn’t needed. So, I refused and took my Camry to my aforementioned regular mechanic and he said my radiator (car) was fine. No -overheating what-so-ever. Toyota of Thousand Oaks is a fraud!!! More
Visited the dealership for service. Staff was extremely rude and inefficient. Work conducted was incompetent, resulting in safety hazards. Cost estimates were changed on us twice while work was being condu rude and inefficient. Work conducted was incompetent, resulting in safety hazards. Cost estimates were changed on us twice while work was being conducted (once from 100$ to 1500$, the second time from 700$ to 5000$). Beware of this dealership and service department. More
Tried to buy a CPO Camry or Avalon there. Salesman knew almost nothing about the cars and continued to call me to try to get me back to but whatever thay had on the lot instead of what I told them I wanted almost nothing about the cars and continued to call me to try to get me back to but whatever thay had on the lot instead of what I told them I wanted. Returned to the lot once because "we have the car". A complete lie, as they were just trying to get me into whatever they had because" we're making great deals because it's the end of the month and things have been slow." Right. Like I've never heard that line before. Ended up with a CPO Avalon from a different dealer. It had an issue with one headlight so I took it to T.O. Toyota to at least give service a try. BAD IDEA. As soon as the service writer learns I didn;t buy it there, his whole expression changed. "it may not be warranty" he says. I just bought CPO, and it's still under the original factory warranty I say. "Still may not be warranty and you'll have to authorize $100 up front"!!! I said, fine, but if it's somehow not warranty, CALL ME. Sure enough, the only problem is the headlight is out of "adjustment" AND IT'LL BE $50!! I call to complain to Toyota and they tell them to fix it no questions asked. I get the car back and now the headlight is blinding traffic!! Took it to Ventura Toyota the next day. No hassles, no "you have to authorize $100 up front" B.S. They fixed the automatic leveler and it's perfect again. This place deserves the terrible rating it has. RUN, dont walk away! More
Brought my 08 Scion in because the radio aux input jack didn't work and it should be covered under my three year warranty. I was immediatly told by Raul Sanchez, a service writer that some of the radios fo didn't work and it should be covered under my three year warranty. I was immediatly told by Raul Sanchez, a service writer that some of the radios for this car might not be covered. And sure enough, this was one of them! It was obvious that these guys didn't want to do anything if it involved the Toyota warranty and were just making excuses. I took the car over to DCH Toyota of Simi Valley and they replaced the radio on the spot! No charge. I'll never return to T.O. Toyota and I'll be sure to relate this story to anyone thinking of going there. They should applogize to the Toyota Corporation for trashing their reputation. If I was the CEO of Toyota, I would yank this dealership away from these jerks on the spot. Have you seen some of the other reviews!! They need to go away. More

Rude, rude, rude, unk service writer in front of me, they refused to trouble shoot a problem that another dealer immediately awknowledged and fixed. I bought my vehicle at this dealership, so naturally I brought it for service as well. I used their body shop for an accident that I was in. There was a moderate size of work that needed to be done, but brought it for service as well. I used their body shop for an accident that I was in. There was a moderate size of work that needed to be done, but nothing extreme. To sum it up, they didn't get started on my car for the first week that it was there. Then, when I needed parts ordered for replacement, they didn't order them... I had to call and remind them. A month later, the vehicle is still not done. They quickly painted it so that they could get rid of the car. They didn't prime it, like they said they did, and they just painted over the old paint. Insisting that they didn't. The radiator was replaced but when I went to pick up the car the check engine light came on and the needle on the thermostat was up at "H". They didn't put radiator fluid in it, when they said they did. I was washing my car a week later and as soon as I put the hose to the car, paint started to peal off. This was just one incident that happened. There were a few incidences before hand with service dept, but this topped it off. I recommend you search for another dealership. Come to find out now, that this isn't the first time this has happened to someone there. STAY AWAY! More
I got the timing belt replaced on my 94 4runner v6 SR5. When I got it back, there was oil smudge on the driver panel, the driver seat had a rip. I asked them to clean it and did a horrible job. The seat t When I got it back, there was oil smudge on the driver panel, the driver seat had a rip. I asked them to clean it and did a horrible job. The seat they say is standard wear and tear so can't do anything about it. So I let it go and just told to myself to not go back there. On the journey back home, the oil gauge was so low it was ridiculous. I have never seen it like that before. On the hill which I drive on everyday, the car barely could make it up. I had to floor it. On idle, it was as if I had a diesel engine. It got the shakes. I returned it and the service guy denied any wrong doing. Did not even want to check the oil. I called and talked to the service manager and told him what happened so he said he will check it. I returned to get it checked. They claimed to have checked the oil pressure and said everything is within normal specs. I checked the oil gauge and it was fine. They fixed something without telling me. It still shakes like a diesel truck. So returned it again. They say to replace the plugs and wires. So I did that with OEM wires and NGK plugs and told them it still shakes. They say they cant help me now because its not OEM spark plugs. xxx! They ruined my car! I used to love my truck. Now I look at as damaged goods. I got so sick of the whole situation I ended just buying a Honda S2000. More
