Unhappy Service I went into Thoroughbred Ford on a Tuesday afternoon, I didn’t have an appointment. I needed an oil change and also I needed my Escape to be looked at I went into Thoroughbred Ford on a Tuesday afternoon, I didn’t have an appointment. I needed an oil change and also I needed my Escape to be looked at due to a “ringing” noise or “squeaking” while driving. Nick, my service advisor checked me in and said it would most likely be done within the next 3 hours. He also told me that it would be around $65 dollars to look at my car. I told him that’s great, not a huge hurry, as I had a ride and wouldn’t be waiting. Around 5pm I hadn’t received a call and new they’d be closing soon. When I called a lady told me that Nick had left at 4pm for the day and my car wouldn’t be looked at today. A little frustrated, I went to pick up my car because I needed it and it couldn’t not sit there over night, as I had discussed with Nick. The lady checked me out for my oil change and I told her I was a little frustrated that I didn’t receive a call, nor did my car get looked at after 5 hours of sitting there. I did take into consideration that I hadn’t had an appointment and decided to make an appointment 2 days later. On Thursday, I had an appointment at 12pm. I dropped my car off at 11pm and a different guy checked me in but told me Nick would be in contact with me. While checking me in he told me it would be $135 dollars to look at my car. I explained that Nick had told me differently and he said he had no idea why he would tell me a different price. I proceeded to get my car checked in and told him I needed it back that night. Around 3pm I still hadn’t heard anything from anyone so my husband called and they said my car was next to be looked at. At 6pm we still never received a call. My husband called again and they said it wouldn’t be looked at today. Shocked we rushed to Ford to go pick up my car before they closed. I was beyond frustrated that for the second day in a row, my car never got looked at. The manager, I believe, Kevin came over. He told me he didn’t know why my car never got looked at but they were short one person today. Kevin did tell me that if I decided to fix my car they would cover part of the cost for the inconvenience. I have to be pretty desperate to go back and deal with the poor customer service I received. I do not plan to go back to Thoroughbred Ford. I received no communication nor service after two days of having my car a total of 13 hours. It’s sad because I would rather take my car to Overland Park or Anderson Ford to receive quality service, though Thoroughbred is 10 minutes away from me. More

Needed motor sheild repair When I called for the appointment, I was told what it would cost if I needed the shield replaced. To my pleasant surprise, and the honesty of Thoroughbred Ford personnel, they only needed to use a couple of bolts to repair the damage I had done when catching the cover on a low curb. That sure beat what the cost would have been had they had to replace the whole thing. More
Customer service When wife went in to pick up her car. Was waiting in line to pick up vehicle and three of the service reps kept passing her to the next. First said he would be right with her when he got off the phone but when he was off he said the next one can help you (it's time for me to go home) was around 3:15.
