My salesman, Frank Boling, was very generous, kind, and easy to work with. He never once tried to push me into something I didn't want or make me pay too much. When the payment for the used car came to a little over my suggested payment, he then priced a brand new car to see what the difference in payments would be as to which would be more worthwhile. Come to find out it was only $25 more per month to get the added warranties and a brand new car. Needless to say, Frank talked me through the options and really helped me feel like I was making the best decision without seeming like he was only in it for the sale. He is a really honest and straightforward salesman and that's such a rarity in this type of market. When it came time to get the financing in order, he had to take the information to his manager, Barry, to be ran and approved. It took 2 and a half hours for Barry to get any type of information to Frank. Frank kept checking in on me to make sure I was okay, and I could see him continually check in with Barry for new information. Unfortunately, Barry seemed too interested in his personal cell phone conversation to worry about my deal. I could hear Barry across the dealership yelling profanities are Frank and whomever he was speaking with over the phone. It is completely unprofessional to 1) choose talking on your personal cell phone over helping one of your employees and 2) use profanity at all, but nonetheless, loud enough for someone in an office across the dealership to hear it. Upper management really needs to sit down and talk with this manager, preferably get him out of there, because he was the sole reason I almost left without the vehicle. Would I recommend this dealer? I would absolutely recommend Frank, not necessarily the dealership. The dealership is represented by employees AND management, and unfortunately, Barry the manager is horrible. More
I am writing this about the management staff at Thompson Hyundai, not my salesman, for which at no time was he involved in the shenanigans these two other individuals played. First off, reprimanding staff in front of customers is no way for management to gain trust or favor in a consumer's eye. Along with vulgarity and outright insults towards customers is also no way to handle business. I would hope that Tom or Doug sees this review and has at least a discussion with his management staff. Not only have you lost my future business, but I will also be discussing this with all my colleagues at Sparrows Point Golf Course as well as anyone else I can speak to. What a relief to find this site. I wish I found this site last month when this was still fresh in my mind. I think this dealership stopped growimg and is stuck in the 80's the way these guys acted and carried themselves. It does not surprise me one bit they are last on ratings. We used the Internet to get a price quote on a Hyundai Elantra. It was a very good on-the-road price. When we went to the dealer the people were very pleasant and professional. We test drove two vehicles and the sales people (Bill and Bertty Jo) were great in helping us make a final decision between a Elantra GT and Eleantra sedan. Everyone at Thompson Hyundai were very easy to work with. I will recommend friends and family to Thompson Hyundai. More

Everytime I take my car in for service, Nancy, Jason,& John are extremely friendly and helpful. Sal helped me to get the financing I needed to get my car. I WAS CHARGED A PROCESSING FEE (NOT REQUIRED BY LAW) OF $199.00 AND MY BASE PRICE WAS $27,129.00 INSTEAD OF THE $23,131.00 AGREED UPON PRICE.
