We originally went to Gerald Nissan in Naperville and they were very pushy. First they had to show us their 7 years of customer service awards. To us this seemed very weird and unnecessary since they they were very pushy. First they had to show us their 7 years of customer service awards. We asked what the list price was of certain vehicles and how much my Chase employee discount would be, they countered with asking us how much we made per year and what we expected our monthly payments to be. They told us the price of used showroom 2013 Altima SV would be $26,800 and wanted desperately to see our trade in (to lower the price of the Altima and hike the price of the trade in perhaps). We left with brochures and decided to look at Thomas Nissan closer to our home in Plainfield. They were the exact opposite. They informed us upfront, here is the price with what you told us you wanted in a vehicle, no pressure to buy, they weren’t pushing any cars on us. We didn’t talk monthly payments until after they disclosed price and then it was up to us to decide if we would like to put any additional money down to lower, or possibly trade in one of our current vehicles. Overall, they were much friendlier, less focused on sales, and more on customer service. The sales person was standing outside in the cold to let us in the door. Gerald Nissan saw me before as we approached they ignored me, and when we got there they decided to walk away as we were coming to the door. Overall Thomas Nissan would get a score of 10 whereas Gerald Nissan would be on the lower end of the spectrum, if they could even be compared to one another. Go Thomas. I finally found the used car I wanted online - 2.5 hrs from my home. Thomas' no haggle pricing took the stress out of making the drive, the only thing I had to worry about is what they would give me for from my home.
