Thomas Nissan Experience I came to Thomas Nissan to look at a car that I saw on Cars.com. Unfortunately, the car was no longer available, but my salesperson, Al, showed me a I came to Thomas Nissan to look at a car that I saw on Cars.com. Unfortunately, the car was no longer available, but my salesperson, Al, showed me a couple other cars that were similar to the one I saw. Although the car I wanted had about 15,000 miles less and was less expensive, the Nissan Sentra that I purchased had some extras that I was happy with. I like the idea of "no haggle pricing" but wish that there was a little wiggle room to work with. My purchase would have been perfect if I could have gotten this car (with more miles) for the same price as the other car that I came in to look at. It was only $1000 difference, but that difference would have made my financing that much easier. I needed to close a gap of that difference in order to get to the payment I felt I could afford, but because of the "no haggle" there was no "I give half, you come down the other half" negotiating available. Both the salesperson and financial person were courteous and honest. They helped me get to a payment close to what I needed to be at and worked with me to get there. I am happy and comfortable with the deal that was made, and would recommend Thomas Nissan to others. More

One of the finance managers, Jim, was very pushy and I almost walked out twice because of him, however I did not feel like he was dishonest at all. If I could go back in time I would prefer to not work with him on my purchase but I would still purchase the vehicle here. The entire team worked really hard to get me the car with the options I wanted, and also the finance options I wanted. Mo (Mohamed) was my sales associate, he was fantastic and I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family who are looking to buy a new or used car. Sal and Ben were also very helpful and accommodating in helping me with my options. Steve is another one of the finance guys, he was fantastic to work with. Whitaker Purchase of 2014 Nissan Altima 3.5SL Since May 11, 2014 (when my 2003 Lexus ES300 was “totaled” due to an accident not my fault), my wife, Barbara, and I visited multiple new car dealers Since May 11, 2014 (when my 2003 Lexus ES300 was “totaled” due to an accident not my fault), my wife, Barbara, and I visited multiple new car dealers (Lexus, Infiniti, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, etc) in Northwest Indiana. The preferred selection was a 2013 Nissan Altima 3.5SL color: Java Brown owned by Nissan of Schererville, IN for sale in the $30,000 range. My wife then began contacting Nissan Dealers in the Chicago area as to the availability of the same car in a 2014 version. She eventually got in contact with Jimmy Thomas of Thomas Nissan of Joliet who indicated he had found the exact vehicle we preferred and it was at a Nissan Dealership in Rockford, IL and indicated he would happy to drive to Rockford, and drive the vehicle back to show it for our review, test drive and possible purchase. We met Jimmy in the afternoon of May 27 and test drove the 2014 Nissan Altima 3.5SL vehicle and he painstakingly explained all of the options, gadgets, etc; he obviously “knew the car” backwards and forwards and answered all of our questions without hesitation. Earlier on May 27, 2014, Jimmy readily volunteered to drive the car from Joliet to our home in Munster, IN for our test driving, vehicle inspection, etc which we rejected by agreeing to drive to Joliet to finalize the purchase. We later learned that Jimmy Thomas was in some sort of trainee/internship program through Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, IN and my wife and I can emphatically state in this Dealer Review that based upon our experience, Jimmy Thomas is “ready for the big time.” Also, Finance Manager, Steve Gramera, was particularly helpful explaining all of the benefits, the deductions, rebates and advantages of our electing to finance part of the purchase purchase with NISSAN MOTOR ACCEPTANCE CORPORATION. As noted above, customer service, friendliness, overall experience and price was superb. Thomas Nissan of Joliet definitely lived up to the commitment of Jimmy Thomas to provide a very simple, honest and hassle-free vehicle purchase experience and I would most definitely recommend this dealership.
