Excellent Process; Worth the Trip! I live approximately one hour from Thomas Subaru of Cumberland and my entire car buying experience there definitely justified the effort. Over the course of two weeks (start to finish) I worked exclusively with Jaison Gehauf and he couldn't have been a better person to guide me through the purchase process. Communication and availability was top notch as he helped me through the decision process that included used, CPO, and new cars: wagons, sedans, and small SUV's; and automatics vs. manuals. Jaison answered all my questions and facilitated numerous test drives as I narrowed in on my choice. Ultimately, I went with a 2015 Crosstrek that the dealership was expecting in a few days. It was clearly the best car for me and the car I wanted. I was not pressured at all into a vehicle that was not right for me or my budget. Their desire to put me in the right car, without the "you must buy today" pressure one encounters at some dealerships, lends credence to Jaison's statements that he is not paid on commission. The car arrived earlier than expected and I was introduced to the entire team. It really made me feel like I was part of the Subaru family at Thomas! Sales Manager Roman Spriggs was excellent, as were my interactions with Brett, Teresa, Tammy, and Tonya. I was equally impressed with Chris Carpenter in Management, who went out of his way to chat with me and my boyfriend. Due to my schedule, Jaison explained the car and its operation to me on two different occasions over the course of two days. He was patient, accommodating, and I never once felt talked down to or patronized. All the Subaru dealerships I interacted with in this car-buying process seemed to be well-run, friendly, and customer satisfaction-focused. That said, Thomas Subaru was the clear stand out! I'm happy I made my purchase there and I look forward to getting my Crosstrek serviced at their location. I'd buy there again in a heartbeat and will be recommending Thomas Cumberland and Jaison to friends and family. More
