If there was such thing as a negative star rating I would apply it here. This dealership made a huge mistake on my order for a 2023 Bronco Heritage, which turns out they never even ordered. Please read my lengthy story below, you can't make this stuff up! In November of 2023 I went into Theodore Robins Ford to build and place an order for a 2023 Bronco Heritage. The salesman, who will remain nameless, assisted me with the online build and assured me my order would be placed once the order banks opened up. I was told it could be months and up to a year before the order might be placed. I was told to periodically call for status reports and be on the lookout for emails from either Theodore Robins Ford or Ford Motor Co. I called once in December and was told there was no update on when the order banks would open. I called again in January 2023 and was told the same thing. On Feb 21, 2023 I received and email from the dealership with the VIN of my vehicle and the build date of 3/13/23 to 3/17/23. This was exciting news, as now I knew my vehicle was going to be built soon. On April 23, 2023 I received another email from the dealership stating my Bronco was almost here and should arrive between 4/30/23 to 5/7/23. This was real exciting news! I called the dealer on 5/1/23 to check on the status and was told my vehicle had arrived and was being detailed and inspected and should be ready in a few days. With this great news, I sold my vehicle so that I would have a down payment for my new Bronco (I had a buyer ready to go once my Bronco came in). Later that same afternoon, I contacted the dealer and asked if they could send me a picture of it. About 30 minutes later I was sent a picture via text, but to my disbelief, it was NOT the vehicle I did the build on and was NOT even a Heritage. I immediately text back the salesman telling him such and I got no reply. 30 minutes later I called the salesman back and he said he mistakenly sent me a picture of the wrong Bronco, and assured me mine was being detailed and inspected. He then said he would go to the back where the vehicle was and take a picture for me and text it. An hour later and no picture or text back from the salesman so I called him. Here's what he told me. "I don't know how to say this to you, but your Bronco is not here and it was never ordered." You can imagine my reaction! He further told me a mistake had been made and the emails I received in February and April were for a vehicle that someone else ordered. I was also told the order banks opened up on March 27 and my vehicle was never ordered. You can't make this stuff up! I've been renting a car since I sold mine on Monday and don't know what I will drive when my rental runs out this Saturday. I have tried to resolve this issue with the lead sales manager since I have been told the General Manager is out sick and the Owner is on vacation. Here's their response so far: We can put you Number 1 on the list to order the 2024 Bronco Heritage and we can sell you a Bronco on our lot for MSRP. Why would I buy a new Bronco off their lot just to trade it in later for the Heritage I order for 2024, I would most definitely be upside down in value and would put in a worse situation than I'm in now. Bottom line is the dealer sent me emails telling me my vehicle was being built and was being delivered and communicated to me on the phone that it had arrived. Furthermore, they never ordered my Bronco when the order banks opened on March 27!and now the vehicle can no longer be ordered. Now I'm out of my reliable used car I sold and am not getting the Bronco I have ordered. This a direct reflection of their bad sales and management skills as well as their customer service! So this is how they treat their customers! They're probably hoping I go away, but I'm not finished.,,.. More
