Since the purchase of my first Mini a month ago, I have been astonished at the quality of service and desire to satisfy practiced by your Grand Rapids location. Shawn has gone out of his way to provide top-notch service in every sense of the word. The scheduling of work and alternate transportation (even over a holiday weekend) was accommodating to my hectic schedule, and from Ashley (Scheduler) to Mike (Service) to the driver who delivered the vehicle, we were truly amazed at the quality of every detail and person we dealt with. In a society that places more emphasis on "sales" than "service" you have convinced me that customer service does, in fact, still exist. KUDOS to the team in Grand Rapids. My husband and I bought a brand new motorhome in 2008, and the service we have received from your Mini dealer doesn't hold a candle to our motorhome dealership. As I said, you may have just earned yourselves a repeat customer as I firmly intend to "trade up" in the years to come. Thanks for a job well done!!! You’re the best! More
My first visits to the service department, I found very pleasant and was treated with high respect. Over time - 2+ years, I've seen this errode. This Spring I had my car in to have my summer tires/wheels pleasant and was treated with high respect. Over time - 2+ years, I've seen this errode. This Spring I had my car in to have my summer tires/wheels put on which are stored at the dealership and also during this visit I requested a detail - inside and out. I was called late in the afternoon that the car would not be ready for me at the end of the day and if that would be an issue. I scheduled this appointment 2 weeks ahead and they had the car the full day as I dropped it off 7:50 am. I agreed to this request that the car would be finished up the next day and drove the loaner home. When I received my credit card 3 weeks later I noticed I was charged for mileage for driving the loaner home that evening and then back to my work location the next day! I never signed a charge slip for this and after inquiring how this would have automatically happen, I was told my credit card was on file with the service rep. I immediately requested that my card number be removed and the dealership reversed this charge. To top off this unpleasant experience, I needed to bring back my car as the detail job was terrible - buff marks all over the vehicle, very sloppy job. I have come to realize that because I have a long term service contract on my BMW - which I paid very much for, when I bring my car in for any issue, the service rep seems to shrug my concern off and that what I'm hearing or feeling with the car is "normal". I am not happy with the service department; however, I would stil recommend purchasing a car from this dealership a the sales rep I worked with when I bought my vehicle was very helpful and knowledgeable. Jason is the BMW service advisor at The Sharpe Collection. I have found him to be responsive, cooperative, knowledgeable, and friendly. He projects the attitude that you are doing the dealership a Collection. I have found him to be responsive, cooperative, knowledgeable, and friendly. He projects the attitude that you are doing the dealership a favor by having it service your car rather than the other way around. He also offers to provide alternate transportation if the service to be done requires that you leave your car, as opposed to having it done while you wait. More
