Replacement keys I recently purchased a used VW for my wife, unfortunately it came with only 1 key, I called around and most places won't even try to program VW keys a I recently purchased a used VW for my wife, unfortunately it came with only 1 key, I called around and most places won't even try to program VW keys and the only one I could that would said it still would have to come cut from the dealership and then he could program it for the about the same price as the dealership. Price for the key is $148 and then another $110 to program it. So we decided to bite the bullet and get it from the dealer. Then after calling around to get a remote starter put in (she loves getting into a warm car lol) I was told I would have to give up one of my keys, well that would double my price for the remote start. After contacting VW again they said they would only charge me 1 programming fee for both keys as long as it was done at the same time. Needless to say I ordered the second key and waited for both to be in before I set up my appointment to program it. They were very nice and even looked at a warning light that has been coming on for free. That's again guys! More
