Autobarn SUBARU is a great place to take your older Subaru. I have a 2005 Outback XT with pretty low mileage. It sits a lot, so it rusts a bit underneath and is a pain for mechanics to deal with. This car's has never had any issues other than routine maintenance, but this latest trip was pretty major. Leaky rocker cover gaskets, timing belt, drive belts, and a complete brake overhaul added up to some heavy dough. Emily Litz did very well to keep me informed of the status. I picked up my car after almost two weeks in the shop and drove it almost all the way home before hearing rattling and scraping noises coming from the rear. I was a little nervous about that and got it home, and sadly, sort of took it out on Sam Schwager. I didn't yell at him or anything, but I let him know I was annoyed in no uncertain terms and wish I had waited 10 minutes before calling to complain. Apologies, Sam. When I returned the next day and met with Dale Erwin, the tech that worked on the car, he was brave enough to let me drive him around so he could hear what I was hearing. Dale knew what the problem was right away. This was NOT an issue of oversight on his part. There are some rusty surfaces that interfered with the new rotor on the right rear and only a much longer drive brought them to light. In a short time, Dale worked it out and it's solved. BONUS: After the new timing belt was installed and Dale did his magic, my XT's idle is so smooth at a red light that I've been fooled into thinking the engine has died. Overall, this was a good experience on a very difficult and aged car to work on. Thank you, Dale, Emily, Sam, & Josh! More

After my experiences from visiting on two separate occasions , there’s no doubt I will return for service, and when the need arises I will buy from them as well. Why? Maybe today was payday, not sure...but everyone I spoke with was friendly, pleasant, and overall seemed happy. EVERY ONE. That is very unusual, and made me feel a little twilight zone (ish), in a good way. I went in telling them to do what ever needed to be done expecting a long list...came out with a bill of less than a hundred dollars. Very happy with the service , and employees. Definitely will return and recommend. More

Autobard of Countryside did Good service on my Tiguan. During the servicing of my car, the tech. found a problem with the steering that made the car hard to keep in a straight line.
