As my lease was ending, and I happened to be in the ABarn anyhow, I simply inquired over a few general questions over a new lease- for a Jetta. After about ten minutes of a non-intrusive q and a session with Jason from finance, I was put in touch with Barbara from sales. She was absolutely perfect, and showed me the jetta i was thinking of leasing. I would say it was more of a conversation than anything resembling a sales experience. I would most definitely recommend anyone thinking of a VW to stop here first. It is casual, tasteful, laid-back, high attention to detail, but completely non-intrusive. Try it out! Mark More

I bought a used car that had a service light go on after I put 200 miles on the car. Brought it in and they said they would make it right and take care of it at no cost. The car probably needed more repai I put 200 miles on the car. Brought it in and they said they would make it right and take care of it at no cost. The car probably needed more repairs than either of us thought. They kept to their word and never drifted. They kept me posted on progress while car was with them daily. They offered me a loaner when it looked like it could take more time to repair. This was the the finest experience I have had EVER with a dealer service department. When in the new or used car market again, my first trip will be to visit Autobarn Countryside. Todd Maca and Steve Lagesse in service department were a pleasure to work with for my car repair. When I make my next purchase from Autobarn of Countryside these two guys should receive the sales commission. OUTSTANDING SERVICE that is tough to find these days. Over the last 40 years I have owned at least 12 new vehicles and I have dealt with at least 6 different dealerships. What I have found that separates the Autobarn from the others is the quality of the vehicles and I have dealt with at least 6 different dealerships. What I have found that separates the Autobarn from the others is the quality of the service I have received. Every time I have taken my vehicle in for service at Autobarn the service has been done in a timely and thorough manner. The service department (especially Tod Maca and Randy Maca) is very courteous and always explains the work to be done on my vehicle. When I needed to replace my Passat I first went to Tod and Randy for their recommendation as to what vehicle would fit my driving needs. I drive over 120 miles to work and back each day and I am pleased to say that my new Jetta TDI is getting between 40 and 42 miles per gallon. Dan Bareither More

I spoke with Rodney Garmon by phone about a car that I'd seen on the Internet. He was most helpful in providing additional details and when I decided to fly to Chicago to see it in person, Rodney met me at seen on the Internet. He had the car completely prepared and ready for me to drive away if/when I decided to buy it. I did and he processed the required paperwork quickly and effortlessly. It was a genuine pleasure working with him and I was impressed with his knowledge of the car (not a Volkswagen)and its features. I have been coming to Autobarn Countryside for many years and over those years I have watched the sales and service department go through constant changes in an effort to improve the experience for the years and over those years I have watched the sales and service department go through constant changes in an effort to improve the experience for the customer. I am never intimidated or afraid to take my vehicles in to the Autobarn Dealership in Countryside because I know that I will always be treated fairly, and respectfully. When I take my vehicles in for service I know that when one of the service representatives tell me that I need something done that they have my best interest in mind, and I can be rest assured that they are being honest and straight forward. I especially like that I can call, and speak directly with a service representative who knows exactly what is happening with my vehicle, and they ensure that the work is being done in a timely fashion. EVERY service representative that I have dealt with has a unique, charming personality, and sense of humor that is simply delightful in every regard. I mean, they really understand the angst a customer is facing with the prospect of spending a large sum of money in todays economy in order to keep their vehicle in top shape. Subsequently, they go out of their way to research coupons and other discounts and apply them accordingly to ease the customer's stress. The parts department is on top of their game. I have yet to be told that a part for my vehicle is not in stock to the extent that it will inconvenience me or my family. It is obvious that every effort is being made to ensure that the inventory is kept up to above standard. Sometimes, when I am waiting for my vehicle, I watch the interaction of the employees with everybody they come in contact with, and they never wain. The mechanics have a great relationship with the service folks and it is clear that there is great communication going on. I like that the mechanic working on my vehicle, if necessary, will talk to me directly to help me understand the issue(s) with my vehicle. It is obvious that they know their craft, and make sure I understand; all with a smile and great sense of humor and assurance that it will be ok. The sales department does a great job, too. I like that when I walk around, the salesmen greet you nicely and are low pressure. They engage you and seem genuinely interested in you as a person, not just as a potential sale. I went in thru the Costco Auto Plan and walked out a very satisfied Proud Owner of a new Jetta.
