I had a bad experience with Frank and M.J. Hasez ( used car sales manager ) They try to force products on you that you don't need or want (extended warranty) they are very high pressure sales men. After a big hassle, and three months later the problem has been resolved. I highly recommend you stay away from this stealership if you don't wish to be treated like second class!!!!!!! More
How can these people still be in business? On 4 January 2013 I bought a 2001 Jetta from this dealership. The salesman had a sign on his desk stating that it is their policy to give only one key for each c 2013 I bought a 2001 Jetta from this dealership. The salesman had a sign on his desk stating that it is their policy to give only one key for each car, and if a customer wanted a second, he or she had to announce that desire at signing so that the price of the key could be factored into the price of the vehicle. I offered to pay for the second key, but the salesman told me "This car comes with two keys." True to his word, he presented me with two keys, but when I got the car home, I discovered that the extra didn't fit the car. In other words, he had given me the keys to a different car. When I contacted him about the error, he told me he'd have to do some research and talk to management. This began a five-week ordeal of sometimes returning e-mails, sometimes not, ending with a restatement of their policy and a statement that there was nothing he could do. No apology for giving me the wrong key in the first place. No attempt to correct the mistake HE had made. Just a restatement of the dealership's policy. And not only did he refuse to correct his mistake with me, since I have a spare key on my kitchen counter that doesn't fit my car, I know there's another driver out there somewhere who doesn't have his spare key, either. I e-mailed the manager of the dealership, hoping he would intervene on my behalf, but received no reply after two weeks. On March 23, I decided to write this review. I want prospective buyers to ask themselves this question before entering this dealership: if they refused to do the right thing with me over something as minor as a spare key, what will they refuse to do for YOU? More

People are generally kind and helpful, but I've been really impressed by Shannon's level of professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for the customers. She makes me feel very comfortable and answers all my questions at any time of the day and night. Her response is always verifiable facts not persuasive fiction. Both Shannon and Kelley have gone out of their way to make me feel supported and taken care of. I have every serious intention to continue to do business with them and I will do my best to recommend them and the Autobarn Volkswagen of Countryside to all my friends and colleagues. John our salesman was super friendly and engaging with us during the whole experience. He went out of his way to make sure we got the best deal for our money, and he was out in the snow and cold looking for during the whole experience. He went out of his way to make sure we got the best deal for our money, and he was out in the snow and cold looking for a particular color Jetta I wanted. He really went above and beyond for us!! We kept him there past close just to get the deal finalized, even afterwards he walked threw all the gadgets on my new car with me and my dad. He truly made the experience for us and we will recommend John to all of our family and friends. It was the best experience our family has had with this location so far and we have now purchased 3 cars threw this dealership. John is doing and amazing job! You truly have an asset to your team with having him on board. More

Went to another dealer (Elgin Hyundai) to buy my daughter a car, paid them $6500 CASH for a used 2004 Mazda RX-8 with 77,000 miles "certified car" (great deal) and after leaving the lot for a total of 20minu a car, paid them $6500 CASH for a used 2004 Mazda RX-8 with 77,000 miles "certified car" (great deal) and after leaving the lot for a total of 20minutes driving down Rt.59 the engine blew? I have never seen my daughter so sad. Really????? Now i know why this car was a great deal. (its been a week now and they still have my daughters money) No one knows how to write checks anymore. I went to The Autobarn Volkswagen of countryside to view a car i found online and 'Shannon' helped me from start to finish and i cant say enough about what a professional she is. After meeting John Sassano (our salesman) he also was very professional and a great help in getting my daughter the car she wanted, in fact i have never been to a better dealer in my entire life. Have to say kudos to Bogdan Studzinski, he also helped in making the deal happen and both my daughter and i are both in debt to them all for helping us when it seemed like no one would. If your are reading this I CANT SAY ENOUGH about this dealer and if i were you i would ONLY go to this dealer for ANY car and not waste time searching for that good one because i have done all the work for you. If i had to rate them between 1-5 like this survey says, i would rate them 1000!
