Volkswagen does not back up their products. I own a 2010 GTI with 37,800 miles on it. It is pampered, lightly driven and kept in a climate controlled garage under a dust cover. At 37,600 miles, I own a 2010 GTI with 37,800 miles on it. It is pampered, lightly driven and kept in a climate controlled garage under a dust cover. At 37,600 miles, the check engine lights comes on. Scan revealed no surprise that’s it was the intake manifold which has plagued all these models due to poor design/engineering flaw. So common that Volkswagen extended the warranty to 150,000 miles or 10 years DUE TO THE MANUFACTURING FLAW. My vehicle, being lightly used didn’t develop the problem until now and I was stuck footing the enormous bill for that repair since it was 12 years old but only had 37,600 miles on it. Volkswagen nor the dealer offered any assistance in helping with financial assistance with this inherent flaw in this vehicle which was the manufacturers fault, not mine but I ended up paying. Something wrong with this picture. Owning my own business, I would never do this to a customer. Shame on another money hungry corporation. More
