I had a good experience at Autobarn Nissan Evanston. I was treated with respect and consideration. The price of the used car was higher than I thought it was, which was not good, but they were willing to was treated with respect and consideration. I had seen the car on eBay and once I got the details I called up the dealership and was transferred to the Internet Manager "Katy Callinan" She was very polite, professional and knowledgeable about the vehicle questions I had... which made me feel comfortable. She said she will call me back once she can physically locate the car in their warehouse instead of me driving miles away in case if the car was sold. As planed she did call me back and even though the particular car/color I was interested was sold... she recommended me a similar car with different color. I told her I will stop by and check the car out. When I got there with my brother, we noticed the car was already pulled up front and ready for testing. As she was on the phone she was even better in person very kind, polite, knowledgeable and very friendly! While taking a test drive she was explaining me all the options the car has along with the do's and don'ts! When to have particular options on or off… Plus she knew how to drive manual car! Which I think is a plus. She was very helpful and it made me feel good because 1st and foremost I felt comfortable and not rushed... she was never pushy like a typical car salesman’s!!! I can go on and on about the great experience I had dealing with Katy! Wish all my dealership experiences were like hers. She was not there just to make a quick sale and send me off... She answered all my questions was extra friendly and next time if you would like to experience how dealers should really act... stop by "The Autobarn Nissan" and ask for Katy! after being a long time honda owner for many years, i decided to consider other vehicles for my next purchase, after lots of looking around and research i picked the nissan maxima as my choice for my nex decided to consider other vehicles for my next purchase, after lots of looking around and research i picked the nissan maxima as my choice for my next new car. i started my online shopping for the best deals out there and to find a nissan dealer with a good customer service reputation. first i tried to purchase my first nissa from star nissan since it seemed that i recieved the lowest price from them, i go in and find out that they tried to do a typical bait and switch on me, very rude and we sell more cars than anyone so we dont care if we lose couple deals attitude, so i left and kept looking and finally found the autobarn nissan in evanston, i sent a price quote request and they got back to me almost immediatley, i called the sales person that emailed me the quote (mo khan) to confirm that there was no hidden fees and that the specific car that i was intersted in was in stock, i did not want the same situation that i had to go thru at star nissan to repeat itself, mo was very nice and assured me that i would be i good hands with him and the autobarn nissan, and that customers come first. i set the appointment for the next day, i went in and mo greeted me at the door as if he was waiting all day for me to come in, very nice and kind,told me that my next new car was waiting for me and to follow him, to my surprise, the maxima that i wanted was parked inside all clean and ready for me, we went on a quick test drive, and at no time was mo pushy or rushing me to tell him if i am buying, he answered all my questions and allowed me to enjoy my test drive. after getting back to the dealer, mo introduced me to the sales manager (yassen), he also was very proffessional and nice, he explained the pricing for me, and again to my pleasant surprise it was the same as what they quoted me thru email, they even included free maintainance for me, yassen made sure to explain the process and time frame for me to finish everything and be able to drive my first new nissan home, only if i still wanted to purchase, that was very refreshing and very different from my previous experiences at other dealers. i told him that i would like to finish the deal, he then had mo finish some paper work with me and then i was introduced to doug (finance manager), yet again another very proffessional and nice autobarn nissan employee, doug took his time explaining my options for finance and extended warranties and again with no pressure at all, i decided to purchase the extended warranty and gap from him, and finished the paper work in a timely fashion, he then had mo come escort me back to my new car, which was back inside all clean and full tank of gas and there was yassen (sales manager) and naim (general manager) standing there to congratulate me on my FIRST nissan and thank me for my trust and business. i am happy to say that my new maxima is amazing and because of my experience at the autobarn nissan, it would be first of many. i would for sure recommend the autobarn nissan to everybody. thank you mo, yassen, and naim for a very pleasant experience, keep up the good work. I heard about Nissan autobarn through a friend after dealing with several Michigan dealerships. I already knew what I wanted and put in a call to Yassen. Knowing I had to take a train to Evanston Yassen sent Eric to pick me up at the train station.After finishing up with the paperwork Eric showed me the features and controls in my new car.Yassen came to congratulate and wish me a safe trip back to Michigan in my new car. Dealing with the dealers in my town I felt pressured to make a purchase in a hurry. At the Autobarn Yassen worked with me making sure I felt comfortable in "MY DECISION" to purchase my first brand new vehicle. And I got it at a great price! The blue tooth feature was important to me the other features are great as well. Thank you for making this a positive experience for me. It has been 4 weeks to the day and I love my car just as much as the day I drove it off the lot. More

I spoke to the manager. You said I could sleep on it. He said, " well, we decided to sleep on it too, and raised the price! " Oh well, their loss since the car has been on their lot over 120 days. The business law in me says it was a contract offer and they violated that.... Maybe the manager should get educated on contracts. More

Jeff is a friendly, knowledgeable and patient salesman who did not pressure or badger me like so many other car salesman I've come across lately. Furthermore, he and the management worked hard to keep the price VERY fair for me considering my tight budget. I originally began by looking at a used 2009 Versa, but when I decided that I couldn't go for it without ABS, Jeff and Eddie figured out a way for me to get the new model with ABS and a couple other additions. They and Doug in financing also helped me keep the monthly payments to a minimum despite a drop in my credit score due to new student loans. Though the negotiating took some time, it was respectful and ultimately, a positive experience for a first-time new car buyer. More
