I have never done a review before, because I’ve never been blown away before. I just leased a car from The Autobarn Nissan of Evanston. My salesman was Kendrick and it was the easiest most pleasant exp been blown away before. I just leased a car from The Autobarn Nissan of Evanston. My salesman was Kendrick and it was the easiest most pleasant experience from a car dealer in my life. What usually is something between a drug deal, or sweating out an individual in “the box” till they just give!!! This was nothing like that. I called on the phone and spoke to Kendrick who was incredibly helpful, polite and found me the car I wanted, a 2020 Nissan Leaf SL fully loaded. My current car was a 2018 Nissan Leaf, that still had 3 lease payments left. Kendrick said don’t worry about that and a week later John delivered my new car to my office and spent an hour going over all of the new features with me. He even contacted me at 9pm at night to notify me that he got me registered on the Nissan App to control the car from my phone. My payment went down $100 per month due to a huge rebate from Nissan and I never even visited the dealership. I signed most of the documents on-line and John brought the new car to my office and took my old car back with him. Incredible... This is probably my 12th or 14th new car purchase/lease and I actually ENJOYED buying this car. Both Kendrick and John were so professional, helpful and friendly even after the sale, just so my experience was great and that’s why I spent the time to write this review. They just bought my loyalty going forward... look how easy it is to create a customer for life. Kudos to making the purchase of a car something to look forward too, and not dreaded. I’ve purchased four Nissans in the past and have had good experiences until now. I was lied to and ripped off this time. They pulled a bait and switch on me with a 2020 for 2019 model. I’ll take some responsibility for trusting the sales person, and not doing enough research on 2019 car prices. Fine, but they also told me I had to finance 20k of the car to get the deal I received because of a rebate. When I checked the tax on the car the next day I noticed there was no rebate. Thats when I checked other prices and realized I over paid. They also sent me home with a dirty car with the TPMS warning on. Three of the four tires were below 28 psi, the windows were all smudged, and there was grease on the interior. The top of the car is also scratched. I was at the dealership for over four hours, and I had an appointment that evening so I had to leave with it the way it was. I told the salesman when I got there that I needed to leave by 5:30. They did not have the car to me until after 6. I called and emailed about returning the car. I was told that was not possible. I wished I had never purchased this car. I’d give less than one star if I could. The sales manager did tell me when I was there that they did not have time to clean it but I could bring it back later. I emailed him about how’d I’d arrange that and I never heard back. More
