During my search for a car, I compared several luxury brands and encountered several luxury brand sales people. Overall, the luxury brand representatives appeared more aloof and superior. Evanston Autobarn Nissan however, demonstrated a much more customer-focused approach to my shopping experience. More importantly, the moment I got into the most luxurious vehicle on their show room floor, they responded to my interest with a focus on what I wanted in a vehicle and how the Platinum Murano met those needs. The deal I got was exactly the deal I asked for - including a great sale price off of MSRP plus the best possible trade-in value for my old car. I would highly recommend Evanston Autobarn - especially Nissan - if you want a superior car-buying experience. More
If it weren't for the NEW MANAGER, Richard Kirkpatrick, making things right on a bad deal, I would still be fuming mad. I had a negative car buying experience at Autobarn in June 2012 and complained to the BBB and got no where. A few months later, the new manager, Richard Kirkpatrick, contacted me and did what it took to make things right. I'm not sure if the manager I dealt with when I bought still works there, but I did not like his attitude. I can't imagine anyone that would. I think his name is Mike. Not sure though. If you go there and end up dealing with a manager, make sure you deal with Richard Kirkpatrick because the one I dealt with was not recommendable at all. More
We contacted the Autobarn to inquire about a manual Mazda3 hatchback. This car has been hard to come by, but Lewis informed us they had a car that met our specifications and we traveled from downtown C Mazda3 hatchback. This car has been hard to come by, but Lewis informed us they had a car that met our specifications and we traveled from downtown Chicago to Evanston to take a look. We were impressed with the level of care and customer service provided. The car was offsite, so Lewis had to bring it to the dealership & was caught in traffic, however this was not an issue and we were kept updated until his arrival. The buying process was easy and stress-free. Because we had an X-plan pricing code, we didn't have to worry about haggling on price. Lewis took the time to introduce us to the maintenance staff on site and helped us set up the bluetooth to connect with our phones. They washed the car, filled it up with gas & we were on our way. It was nice to finally find a dealership who took the time to work with you and treated you kindly, with respect and with the goal of maintaining your custom for many years to come. We would highly recommend the Autobarn to anyone looking for a new car, even if you have to travel a distance to get there - it will be worth it! More
The whole process of buying my new car went very smoothly. I was expecting to be at the dealership for decent amount of time, and thankfully, I wasn't. My salesman was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic. Haggling with prices was nearly non-existant, which I thought was a positive (and still, I got my vehicle for invoice price). The finance employee was a bit pushy, but, overall, I had a really good experience. I will definitely recommend this dealership to others. More

I knew exactly what I was looking for when I contacted Lewis about a 2011 Mazda 3. Lewis was very friendly and knew that I wanted toclose the deal quickly. I got an amazing deal on it, almost too amazing..... I asked Lewis if there was anything I should know about the car, and he said it was such a great deal because it had been on the lot for so long. (which it had). After taking the car to get gas (somehow they can't give you a full tank!?). I discovered why the price. It was a hail damaged car! The people who fixed it did a great job on the hood but the roof is pretty bad. Why not be up-front to the customer??! Look, I still would have bought this car at the price I got, but it made me feel a little cheated. We are all informed consumers in this day of the Internet, we can search inventories and comparison shop on-line for anything. I knew it was a great price and knew there had to be something going on. I knew I loved my car, but felt I should consider other models for comparison... suffice to say, I was not an easy client! Jonathan Sammons was the best! He accepted my circumstances easily, helped me gain valuable relevant knowledge about each issue I felt important in my new car, and never with an attitude. He is candid, well informed, quick to respond, and in the end went much more than the extra mile to get the car I wanted! I never felt like he was focused on making the sale. I feel confident about my choice and much of that is due to the help I received. I would definitely refer Jonathan and the dealership to anyone in need of help with a car. More
