When I arrived for my first oil change, I was given a tour of the service area. I was told about Mazda Corp and how they are committed to gas engines for the next 10 years. I came last November 16, 2020 for my scheduled maintenance (oil change, tire rotation and other complimentary inspections) on my 2015 Mazda 6. Stephen, the Service Advisor was the one helping me a maintenance (oil change, tire rotation and other complimentary inspections) on my 2015 Mazda 6. Stephen, the Service Advisor was the one helping me and he was awesome and honest. I am a regular customer for service at The Autobarn Mazda Evanston ever since I got my first Mazda in 2018. Except for one time I tried going to another location nearby in my new address as I just recently moved which I had an ok experience and recommended some services that I declined because I know I just did it a year prior and it should show on the records. Though I have to drive longer, I chose to go back in Evanston because I already build a trust in them. I came for a regular maintenance and addressed some issues on my car. I told them that it started making a humming noise and I assumed to do a diagnostic and perform the 60k mile maintenance repair. Stephen was great and honest unlike other service advisor that potentially ripping people off with unnecessary repairs and charges. He said to hold and let the mechanic do the complimentary inspections to figure out the problem so I don’t have to pay extra. And mind you, I haven’t revealed yet that I had an extended warranty on my car when I had it financed. So they figured out the problem. The wheel bearing on front left and lower control arm front right needs to be replaced which is the cause of the humming noice. Also they need to perform 4 wheel alignment. Overall it will cost me over a thousand. Luckily, I have an extended warranty on my car. Stephen worked on everything from calling the insurance company making sure they cover all the cost for the repairs which is really great. So overall I only have to pay $200 which includes the $90 plus tax regular maintenance (oil change, tire rotation and complimentary inspection) and my $100 deductible on my extended warranty insurance instead of paying over a thousand. With all the maintenance and repairs, not to mention the free car wash, now my baby is driving smooth like brand new. I’m really glad that I came back and won’t mind driving up north for my next regular maintenance. Shout out to the mechanics aswell for doing such an amazing job. Thank you for the great and honest service whenever I visit. More

This was as close to a flawless transaction as one could imagine. I have bought a few cars from Motorwerks in Barrington and there was ALWAYS friction.
