Texas Direct Auto is awesome. Bought our first vehicle from them in 2020. After an awesome experience of course it was my go to when we were looking for another vehicle. Jason Bull was awesome to work with and made the buying experience a breeze. He was patient and not pushy which was great. Did everything online and when I went in everything was in place for my test drive. Even had another vehicle for me to test drive because I was loving 2 cars I saw online and I wanted to see both. He said it wouldn’t be a problem to redo paperwork if I decided on another vehicle. Awesome customer service once again! More

I'm still in the process of the car being delivered, but the experience I have had so far does not give me high hopes for the delivery or the registering process. I've not had access to my profile at any point during the process. I submitted a ticket a week ago with no response and the run around of, we can't do that, or we don't have an IT department. What kind of online business doesn't have an IT department? Since i didn't have access to my account, I was unable to make the deposit or down payment through their system myself. Steven, my car specialist, took my deposit over the phone and told me that they could take the down payment over the phone as well. He also told me that I wouldn't be sent anything FedEx, all documents were done online. After that not being true, which didn't upset me, but I should have known that I was going to have more issues. I've made multiple phone calls, sent several emails and no response to how to get access to my account, that I didn't create. The account I created, the sale was cancelled because all the information was on the account I didn't create. I was finally transferred to a department that could take my payment over the phone, but told me that they couldn't take my payment because I financed through Vroom and not my own bank. She said they couldn't have that information. I'm not sure how that would be any different than my car specialist taking my card information over the phone for the deposit, so I finally gave in and paid the fee to have a wire transfer sent. Then I call back again because I get the delivery email and it said I could create an account to monitor the status. I was aware I couldn't track the delivery, but the email mentioned something about more paperwork that would be needed. I'm assuming that would be listed in my account. I called in to see if there was any way to get an update on my account being unlocked. This specialist schooled me on having insurance on the car. My agent told me not to add insurance until it was in my possession, which makes sense to me. I don't want to be held liable for anything during transit. He then went on to say that my vehicle would not have a tracking number on it to see where it was at. Well duh. I explained when I first called in, I wanted access to see what paperwork I would need for the registration process because it does track that as you complete it. He then told me my delivery date that was on my account and it was different than the date that was on the email I was sent. I'm sure that I will have more to add to this as the process goes. I'm finding that you don't save much money with all the extra things you have to do that a brick and mortar dealership would already have done, or have access to. They also respond here, but do not ever follow up with actual contact. More
This is my third vehicle that I purchase from TDA and the process has only gotten easier and easier. I love that everything is done online; from getting trade in quote, finding a vehicle and signing paperwor process has only gotten easier and easier. Walking in, there is just so much organization. It’s honestly the best experience, I’ve had thus far. I will always give TDA my business. More
This is for Vroom AND Texas Direct Auto as they have used both names when calling me back at different times. This is a review that I hate having to write, because I really wanted to like this company and th both names when calling me back at different times. This is a review that I hate having to write, because I really wanted to like this company and the concept of what Vroom SAYs it does. This experience started off great. I was offered more for my trade by Vroom than anyone else offered, and the price of the new vehicle was more affordable than the other place that I had looked at. I had my own financing so that was not an issue. They sent over DocuSign and after signing is when things started to take a turn for the worse. They told me that it would take two weeks to get me my car, but that they would keep me updated throughout the shipment. Over the next two weeks I had three separate tow trucks show up at my place of employment trying to take my trade even though my new car still had not arrived and had several phone calls from others asking if they could come get my car. I would call and talk to people in customer service that had no clue what was going on. Not once in the two weeks was there any communication from any one from Vroom about the shipment of my new car. After the two weeks I started calling and emailing about when I could expect my new car. No one seemed to know when the car was coming, but its didn't stop them from lying to me every chance they had. I was told that since it was late, that Vroom would refund the entire amount that they had charged for shipping once the car finally arrived. It was almost a full month before my car was delivered without any notice at all. The delivery guys were clueless and rude and acted like it was a bother that I wanted to look the car over. I called in and asked about the refund for the shipping and was told that I had to wait 7 days before I could file a claim for a refund. After the 7 days I called back in and was told that I could not get a refund because I had waited more that seven days to file a claim. Vroom seems to make up the rules as they go. In the original ad for the car it was listed with two keys, but the car only came with one. The driver that delivered the car said that Vroom would mail them to me. When I called Vroom they said it doesn't come with two keys and asked if I had proof that the ad said that. I never took screen shots of the ad because I didn't think that I would need to do that just to keep them honest. We had planned on buying another vehicle from them as soon as this first deal was wrapped up. We will not be buying anything else from these crooks. Avoid Vroom and Texas Direct Auto at all costs.
