Sold vehicle that had no title. No resolution after 1 year. I purchased a 2013 Subaru Outback in June 2016. In November after many follow up calls and texts and a series of temporary license plates, the dealers I purchased a 2013 Subaru Outback in June 2016. In November after many follow up calls and texts and a series of temporary license plates, the dealership informed me the title was not being held in Dallas as originally stated, but in Colorado. Many apologies were offered with their pledge to "make it right." Three months later in January the result of another series of phone calls to the title office at Texas Direct, I was informed Colorado was refusing to release the title for the vehicle because the mileage could not be verified. I received another temporary license plate with the promise that Texas Direct was going to pay off the existing loan, obtain a new title from Austin AND hold me harmless for all the inconvenience they had created. I previously had told them my plan was to refinance the loan because I would qualify for a much lower interest rate through my credit union. Follow up phone calls to Texas Direct later in January, and again in February revealed no title had been obtained from Austin and the car loan had not been paid off. Once again I received multiple apologies with another promise they were committed to "paying off the loan immediately" because their "VP was now involved." They agreed to send a letter to the credit reporting agencies taking full responsibility for any late payments. On April 22, 2017, I received a letter from Capital One informing me the auto loan had been paid off. I checked with EquiFax to confirm the payoff and discovered Capital One had reported recent monthly non-payments. It took Texas Direct three months to "immediately" pay off the loan. My credit score dropped like a lead balloon. EquiFax instructed me to get the letter from Texas Direct to document their error so my credit report would not be negatively affected. When I called Texas Direct I was informed by the title department that they were no longer handling the situation. It had been re-directed to the finance department. I was connected to Scott Starks who told me I had two options for resolving the matter: 1) I could come in and refinance the vehicle at the price they paid it off, which would be about $5,000 above the NADA Retail Value for the vehicle, or 2) I could just come in and drop off the keys to the vehicle. I told him neither option was reality-based and in no way reflected the situation that Texas Direct had created. He had no concern for understanding what had transpired since June of last year, but merely repeated the "options" adding that his supervisor was now in charge. I told him there had best be a third option, because neither of the two represented anything approaching a fair resolution. He offered nothing more, with no consideration as to how Texas Direct might correct their error without penalizing me. I tried explaining to him during two phone calls that I should not be held responsible for the cost of Texas Direct Auto's pay off to Capital One. That was clearly their error for selling a vehicle to which there was no title. Turning in the key was also totally unacceptable because I was not being refunded back the down payment I had made when I originally purchased the car in good faith. In addition, my credit rating has been damaged for them taking 60 days beyond their promise in paying off the vehicle loan. He offered to refund back only the down payment, and initially tried telling me the amount less than what I had paid. He also stated the letter to the credit reporting agencies was done and submitted. He refused to send me a copy, stating I could pick it up when I came in to drop off the vehicle. Subsequent checking with the credit reporting agencies indicated they had received no such letter from Texas Direct Auto. My credit union is no longer willing to finance any car loan based on my lowered credit score without a sizable down payment, more than double what I had originally put down last June. In addition, the pre-mortgage.application my wife and I filled out to purchase a new house was declined for the same reason. Subsequent phone calls to Texas Direct Auto requesting to talk to Mr. Starks' supervisor, the general manager of the Stafford operation, as well as the VP who was supposedly directly involved back in January have all been directed to a voice messaging recorder. None of the calls have been returned. Calls and texts to the people in the title department requesting their help have not been responded to as well. I have no reason to believe Mr. Starks is not a good auto finance person. However, this situation is far above his pay grade and job description. It is a customer relations issue that goes way beyond simply returning a vehicle. I bought the vehicle in good faith, maintained it in good operating condition and made regular monthly payments. I am now being severely penalized because the dealership never possessed the title to the vehicle at the time of sale nor for months afterward. Now 12 months later they are refusing to take responsibility for their error. The repeated earlier promises from Texas Direct to "make this right," need to be honored. More

The purchase was easy as I paid them what they were asking for the vehicle. The service after the sale was horrible. When my transporter arrived the vehicle was not where it was supposed to be. My shipper had to go to a different lot. When they did find it they were told that the keys could not be found. I made numerous phone calls and was told by Joe that it would be taken care of. It was not. Joe actually told me that it was his day off. He reluctantly agreed to go to the lot and get the release. I was told by Joe that the transfer of ownership was to be sent to me so I could get the car on the road. After a few days I called Joe again to see where the paperwork was and he then told me that since I paid with a company check that the paperwork would be held up for ten business days. If I was told this initially I would have sent certified funds. Plus the check had cleared my account 5 days prior. In this case everything would have been acceptable if Joe had communicated better. There were some gouges in the bed liner and scratches on the passenger rear fender which they agreed to repair. They said they would repair both items if we wanted to wait 5 hours. We said we would rather start our 18 hour drive home. They touched up the bed liner before we left their facility and told us to get estimates for the fender. Two hours after leaving Texas Direct Auto we ran into rain. The rain washed away whatever they used to repair the bed liner. Now that we are home and received two estimates for the fender and paid $40 to get the bed liner repaired., Texas Direct Auto thinks the estimates are too much and a refusing to pay the true amount it costs to have these two items fixed properly. The paint is a tri coat paint and is a long process to repair properly. How did they plan to fix it if they said it would take 5 hours. Think twice before buying from Texas Direct Auto!!! More

Easy purchase, great service after the sale. I enjoyed the experience, the car was what I wanted and the trade was fairly estimated. I would do this again and tell others. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES This place has the WORST customer service, they LIE about the price of the cars, they LIE about fixing dents and scratches, and they treat you horribl This place has the WORST customer service, they LIE about the price of the cars, they LIE about fixing dents and scratches, and they treat you horrible. I have spoken with two "managers" who both assured me that I would be "taken care of" after seeing my horror story with customer service. I went to the Grand Prairie location just to be screwed by the sales guy. He was a nice guy but would not uphold the deal I was told I would receive from the Stafford location. Since I covered myself, I am in the process of filing a complaint. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS PLACE More
Advertised as a V8 and sold me a V6, frsud sale I put a deposit down to have a vehicle with the specs that I wanted shipped from Dallas to Stafford location. I had two major issues: 1. My deposit fo I put a deposit down to have a vehicle with the specs that I wanted shipped from Dallas to Stafford location. I had two major issues: 1. My deposit for bringing the truck from Dallas to Stafford and reserve it, was not returned to me until 8-10 weeks after I purchased my vehicle. This was after several phone calls and emails. 2. I later noticed that the dealer gave me a truck with a V6 engine instead of the V8. I specifically asked for vehicle information to be emailed to me prior to putting my deposit and having it shipped to Stafford. The vehicle information was falsely listed on their website. After I noticed the issue, I contacted them to give them an opportunity to resolve this issue. Being the poor professionals that they are, instead of admitting their mistake and finding a solution, they talked me into trading my truck in, which they wanted to give me ~2,000.00 under what I owed for a trade in instead of taking actions for their mistake and buying it back for full price. They tried to put me into a more expensive vehicle which was over the budget that I told them I had. They were basically trying to slide their "dealer fraud" for falsely advertising and selling me something that I was not given the true information of under the rug. I have had sales people hang up on me, employee's act unprofessional, and I had to drive an hour to go talk to them twice because the Managers do not return phone call. crappie service. I have seen both good and bad reviews of this place and I'm definitely not one to make judgment on someone else's experience all it takes is that ang I have seen both good and bad reviews of this place and I'm definitely not one to make judgment on someone else's experience all it takes is that angry customer to give a bad name to a place. I just have to experience things for myself which can be a disadvantage. instead of looking at the reviews as a red flag I found a car I wanted. Ken was the salesman. He seemed to be nice but the first red xxx was when I told him I couldn't make it wed so I would be there sat with the 3 hrs drive one way mind you I already paid $500 to not sell the car. His response was what changed now but not as a concerned person it was more like hmm why aren't you coming you liar. I of course blew that off. My husband had questions about the car and Ken's response was its on the website or carfax. Now what if a patient asked me for possible adverse reacation to a medication and I told them on look on the bottle, it's on there. I drove the night before 3 hours to houston. The next morning I call Kennedy to tell him my hotel is 2 miles away and I OMW, he said great I'll have them wash the car and have it "ready". I'm there at 9 and he is not even there. Other salesmen were calling him and come to find out he doesn't come in till later in the am. The car was not out there . Finally he gets the car to me test drive, it was filthy dirty inside and out. He thwn tells me the back window latch was broke and they ordered one. I took it to firestone for diagnostic testing. The miles were off at least by 150 miles from what was posted. $3500 worth of maintenance things needing to be done. Alignment balance and tires. Shock and struts. Sway bar was rubbing. WindShield wiper , taillight. Spark plugs. Oil change. So I show Ken the paper to see what he could help me with. His response is that's first ones job to find things to fix. But he would ask about changing the windshield wipers😑. I'm really trying to be pt with this man because between all of this going on he is constantly leaving to help other customers. So I was left waiting multiple times for long periods, no exaggeration. Finally we are getting out of there lose to 5 before my 3 hour drive with my 9 month old baby. They didn't clean the car. Or try to help me out in anyway with things that should have been fixed before selling. I asked about filling up the tank and Ken says the people that does that left. This was the most horrible long drawn out buying session ever. No incentives for the poor business and misrepresentation. These salesmen represent the company as a whole and although there may be some good reviews the view bad one special are just the one that are speaking up and enough for me to never shop here or recommend this place. The company is a business and I get that they are to make money but they should also have a Statard of ethics for the sales team and how they handle business and customers. I even saw another couple who drove down from Oklahoma to buy a red jeep and as they were doing paperwork another man walked in asking for the salesman he spoke to the night before to come pick up the red jeep. Wow he didn't even call the guy to let him know. There was more to the story. One was a cash payer i believe. This is a representation of the company. More
Worse customer service ever buyer beware!!! I have only had my truck 2 weeks and sent it to have the tailgate emblem tightened up. We found it before purchase and they said they would take car I have only had my truck 2 weeks and sent it to have the tailgate emblem tightened up. We found it before purchase and they said they would take care of it we just needed to set up an appointment and bring it in. We did that after serveral attempts to reach anyone in the service department. Appointment was for Friday and of course it's not done. Why have us make an appointment and not honor the time. They are now telling us it won't be until Monday. It's a emblem that needs to be tightened up why the heck is it taking 4 days. These people seem to not care once they have your money. I have never had a experience like this from a car dealership!! More
