Traveling to Tempe Kia was well work my time, honestly I've never been a fan of looking at cars on a dealers lot while they were open, but my views have changed thanks to the customer service I experience I've never been a fan of looking at cars on a dealers lot while they were open, but my views have changed thanks to the customer service I experienced from Mr. Ladd. He was very respectful of the time I had to look around, which wasn't much. He gave me answers to the questions I had and just didn't run off telling me things about cars I really didn't care about. It was great working with William Collins and Scott Purvis. They were both friendly, and very patient. They were straight forward, and we didn't have to spend hours negotiating back and forth. I was excited when the payments didn't go up at closing. The payments were exactly as quoted. Scott not only showed my son the features of the car, but gave a quick review of the handbook. My son is really happy with his car! Every thing went smoothly from the time we walked in the door, to completing the sale. I would highly recommend Kia to all my friends and family. I want to recommend the Tempe Kia salesman John Nickols to any car customer who is searching for their choice vehicle. I brought a 2012 Kia Rio5 February 20, 2012 and I am so pleased with it that I've put to any car customer who is searching for their choice vehicle. I brought a 2012 Kia Rio5 February 20, 2012 and I am so pleased with it that I've put 700 miles on it already and only used two 10 gallon tanks of gas (yeah, drive it right & it'll do better than 40 mpg on the highway and avg. 35 mpg overall with a backseat of grandkids). I've had so much fun driving with this vehicle (large interior, GREAT sound system, fun communication toys) that it took 19 days of (ha, ha, break-in) driving before my wife could rip me away from it long enough to log in and write this. ALAS! Now she's driving it and won't bring it back! Anyway, I digress, now that she's taken it away, I might as well as tell you why John Nickol is the guy you want to show you cars. See, my wife has Rheumatoid Arthritis and COPD. The day we came to Tempe Kia to shop I told John how my wife was suffering and could not walk around the lot. No problem. John listened and knew just what to do. He brought the four vehicles we wanted to check out right over to the handicap parking area for my wife to get into and test out. When we each told him what features and colors we were looking for in a vehicle, he was able to search the (AZ) area and quickly find what we NEEDED and helped us compromise on the color we wanted. (You husbands get my drift?) John made my wife happy and got me the vehicle we needed. No pressure. Oh yeah, we went to other dealers and checked out the competition that weekend, but none of the other salesmen were able to please us kindly and show us a superior vehicle to fit our needs. No other salesman put us at ease and gently helped us through the sales and finacial process. The managers were gentleman and the finacial officer was a real pretty, sweet lady. (But don't tell my wife I wrote that, sssshh.) More

I LOVE TEMPE KIA!!! The sterotype of car dealerships are that they are high pressure and that they are an overall bad experience. I can tell you that that is NOT the case here. This is the third car I have purchased from Tempe Kia in the past 7 years and I will not go anywhere else. Justin my salesman was very helpful throughout the process. The sales manager John was also great and he worked with me to get the best deal possible. They encouraged me to shop around elsewhere to find a better price and I can tell you that their initial out the door price on my 2012 Kia Forte SX beat other local Kia dealers. Even after the sale, their service was great. I had to stop in the next day because I had trouble pairing one of my phones to the car and Justin came right out and got it set up for me. He showed me how to do it so that I was comfortable doing it on my own. This was an awesome experience and I am truly happy with my Forte. I have dealt with Tempe Kia several times, twice buying a new car, the other times for parts or service. Never have I been disappointed, and more often, my husband and I have been surprised how much they exc new car, the other times for parts or service. Never have I been disappointed, and more often, my husband and I have been surprised how much they exceeded our expectations! (I have to put in a plug (no pun) for Bob Springer in the Service Dept. who did a terrific job coordinating work on our 2006 Optima this summer! What a nightmare - crossing county, state, and country lines to document previous work, authorize service, obtain parts and get everything installed in just a few days. He did it with grace, humor, and patience. Many thanks Bob! You should get a bonus. Hint hint big bosses.) My experience this week buying MY new 2012 Kia Optima hybrid from Tempe Kia was another over-the-top excellent experience. Once he'd shown me all the years and models that met my specs available on the lot, Sergai answered all my questions. He answered them right, too, because between my initial "I'm not buying, just accidentally pulled into the lot" visit and my "Oh, come on honey it will just take a few minutes and I want your opinion" visit with my husband, and my third visit to negotiate the final deal, sign paperwork and bring home the new baby, I did some serious hybrid homework. Sergai took the time to make sure I understood the details of a complex new dashboard and operating system. We went through the manuals and checklists (and he didn't rush me or just pro-forma check things off). That's important to me, because I'm going to have to re-explain everything to my husband next week when I get home before I'll let him even get in the driver's seat! While we were negotiating the deal, neither Will nor John wasted my time (or tried my patience) with stupid back and forth that neither of us would have gone for anyway. When the assessment of my much-loved 2001 P.O.S. (sorry, that's text talk) Daewoo Nubira was less than he knew I'd hoped, Will came out to personally explain why the trade value was so low. At that point, he might have asked me to pay to have the dealership take it off my hands and I would have considered doing so. (I wouldn't have done it, but I'd have considered, I have so much faith in these guys!) At closing, I had a pre-authorized loan approval from USAA and we already had arranged the insurance transfer to the new Kia. Just as it was my turn in Finance, several square miles around and including the dealership were hit with back-to-back power outages between 9:30 and 11 pm and we couldn't get all the paperwork printed. John (or Will, I'm not sure who made the decision) allowed me to sign what was printed and take the car home that night. Of course, I had to come back Saturday morning to finish up and get the site draft from USAA. (Darn, now I have payments again). I know he knew where to find me and how to reach me and all the rest, but I thought it was remarkable that a dealer 1) would remain open until nearly 11 on a slow Friday night to finish up, given they were scheduled to be off by 9 pm, and 2) allow me to drive a $30,000+ car off the lot with nothing but MVD paperwork and a verbal ok from the insurance company. Talk about GREAT customer service! There's another reason for my rating Tempe Kia as excellent: USAA provided me with the names of three Valley Kia dealerships they certified. I have a long-standing relationship with USAA and trust their recommendations, so I made an appointment with a guy named Greg Murray at Mark Mitsubishi/Kia in Scottsdale for 2 pm on Friday. Since USAA recommended them, I thought perhaps they would be able to beat Tempe Kia's initial "ballpark" price. I will write a separate review on them, but basically everything (including the Parts and Service Depts) that Tempe does right, Mark Mitsubishi/Kia does absolutely wrong. I intend to write to USAA and suggest they drop Mark Kia as a certified dealer and instead add Tempe Kia. Who knows if they will listen, but I can be persuasive and Mark was awful. More

Both Brent and Scott were very friendly, and most importantly, were NOT pushy st sll. We spent quite a bit of time at the lot and wound up being the last customers of the night. Scott helped finish the deal and the financing / purchase paperwork went quickly and smoothly. Overall we were extremely happy with the experience at Tempe Kia and would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle without the pushy typical car buying experience. More
