When stepping out of the vehicle the salesman started to make comments that I had come up there for my baby dad. At the time I was pregnant, I am a black woman. I have never met this man a day in my life. After making that comment I said no I’m not and ignored him he proceeded to call my salesman and tell him that I was there to collect my child support in front of a group of men and everyone laughed at me. I was made a joke as I was embarrassed, I was harassed I am traumatized. Honda advised me they would not be firing this man and they would give me an oil change package. I attempted to go back to this location for service only to be ignored treated like trash every single time. Emotionally scarred and not OKAY. As a woman. As a mother. As a Black woman, I am saddened this is the way they choose to treat me. Honda is racist the company stands by its sexist employees. We are in 2020 we will not stand for this behavior shame on you Honda. The VP had o empathy and has refused to fire anyone or make this right. More
Used F150 Tempe Honda sold me a lemon. In Jan, 2019, I looked at a 2014 F150 that was fairly priced online. I told the saleswoman I also had an appointment for Tempe Honda sold me a lemon. In Jan, 2019, I looked at a 2014 F150 that was fairly priced online. I told the saleswoman I also had an appointment for Courtesy Chevrolet during the test drive. She then told me a story about them selling her a lemon when it was clear she was lying. When we got back, she brought me some paperwork quoting me almost 3k over KBB and I countered. She called me the next morning with a compromise. Signing the paperwork, the person tells me they got a better rate. Turns out he switched lenders without even telling or even asking me, and it was not a better rate. The battery was dead when I went to receive it and I had to wait for it to be replaced. Also, the tires were dry rotted. I inspected the truck at night and didn’t see a negligible crack in the paint on the passenger side windshield pillar. I brought it back in less than 30 days and spoke with the sales manager. He offered to trade in the truck for the price I bought it but I’d would need to pay tax and title on a new car. I returned the next week and asked for the customer care person. I’m not sure if I ever talked to the customer care person but another sales manager met me and said they wouldn’t do anything. We looked at the truck & I showed him where the paint was cracking and he told me it wasn't a big of a deal. I showed him a pitting spot just above the windshield that actually had started to RUST. I pointed out I had take it to an auto body place and was told it would get worse and could potentially cost well over a thousand to repaint the cab to ensure uniformity. The body shop also pointed out a deformity of the paint on the front bumper and told me that it looked like it had possibly been repainted and reinstalled before it was entirely cured indicating it might have been in an accident. He then starts acting very condescending saying “come on, the paint cracking couldn’t cost more than a couple hundred bucks and its a 4 and a half year old truck, look at the stickers on the shocks, this thing was never in an accident.” I told him the body shop was convinced it was in an accident. He told me the dealership was not responsible for a vehicle which was in an accident that wasn’t reported to CarFax. He did state the dealership would repair any damage before they put it on the lot. Basically admitting they would just do a cheap fix to the vehicle and not disclose it, hiding behind the guise of having a clear CarFax. He told me he would talk to his boss - big surprise, I never received anything back. I received a phone call a year later from a Tempe Honda salesman. He was curious how I had been coming along with the truck. I told that the crack turned into a foot long section of flaking. When I stopped talking, I noticed there was no noise. He unmuted me and told me “okay well have a good day” and hung up. That was his response to hearing me being absolutely exploited. I’m unsure what actually happened to the truck. It is my belief that the pillar was repainted. I got a quote to fix it and it was almost two grand. One thing I know for sure is that Tempe Honda is absolutely only concerned about your money. They will hide behind a clean carfax, regardless of what had gone unreported, and YOU will be left holding the bill. They will shift the responsibility to you even though they sold you a vehicle that was different from what was presented. Sure, that’s the risk you run buying a used vehicle, but how are you supposed to know when it was made to look in great shape. I’m skeptical as to how this unethical place has such good reviews. Reflecting on that experience, from the over quoted Kelly Blue Book at the beginning to not accepting responsibility for selling me a damaged truck, it seemed that all they cared about was squeezing every dollar out of you at the expense of your future monetary position with the vehicle. Please, please, do yourself a favor and pass on Tempe Honda - no price is worth the headache this place will give you. More
RIPOFF! DO NOT BUY USED VEHICLES FROM HERE!! You might get luckier with a new vehicle purchase but I wish you the best either way. I'm not inexperienced, I've purchased 3 cars from 3 different dealers in get luckier with a new vehicle purchase but I wish you the best either way. I'm not inexperienced, I've purchased 3 cars from 3 different dealers in the last 6 months. Anyways I got a used car from here. 1st impression is once we started the signing process as usual I was told they would go ahead and take the car back and detail it to have it ready. Cool pretty standard. Unfortunately the car looked worse. There was white streaks of crap everywhere. Its like the person just sprays everything everywhere and only wipes a few spots. It's clearly evident. All the glass had oily smudges. Crap work. Nobody can do their jobs anymore . I've ran multiple businesses and I'm telling you right now I value peoples employment but I would fire that detailer. Smh . I own 7 vehicles and trust me I've seen good detailing and bad. This is amongst the worst. So I bought the car at night . It was worse the next day once the sun came up and I could actually see. Cup holder had crap all around the rear cargo area had major animal hair all in the edges that a simple vacuuming could have taken care of. So the car had a Le bra on it. Got home and pulled it off. Front bumper was pitted bad. Paint chipped off and rubbed raw all over. Returned to address this issue. I feel like the dealership should have pulled this off prior to selling a vehicle just to have an idea what it looked like. Keep in mind they're selling it at the premium blue book value based on the car's condition be in great shape. Anyways I was met with the statement, from the 'used car manager'"that's why you don't pull the bras off." after standing my ground and pushing the issue a little bit more they did agree to paint for me, which I definitely did not expect . and although it does look better it wasn't great work. Even further they only painted the bumper and didn't touch either of the fenders that were also damaged. THANKS TEMPE HONDA!! next time it rains I'm probably going to start getting some rust spots there which is wonderful. So my next issue is now consistent with Penske dealerships which I mentioned before I recently purchased another vehicle at a different Penske dealership. I've now learned my lesson I will stay away from Penske dealerships. So they both ,after selling a vehicle , try to start pushing the extra packages like extended warranty, very common, and interior exterior protection packages, blah blah. I always avoid the warranties but this time I decided to get the interior protection. PLEASE READ:: unfortunately, just like the other Penske dealership after taking my money they conveniently never sent the work order over to the service department. Very funny how this is consistent with both dealerships. MAKE SURE if you purchase one of these don't let more than a week go by before you contact them cuz they'll never call you about it. Here's where this gets really sticky... When I scheduled to have the interior done I assumed, and was told , that they would do a complete vacuum and cleanup of the interior prior to applying the interior protection. shame on them. I got the car back and they just sprayed it right over all that dog hair that I mentioned was in the back. Sprayed it right over the crap that was still in the cup holder. And so now what am i to do? they expect me to take it back to them if I ever want to use my seven years of what I purchased AND WILL NOW PAY FOR EVERY MONTH.. but I would never return to this dealership to save my life.. smh also there was a gnarly stain in the back that I was told that none of their shampooers would be able to get out. Guess what???? Went to AutoZone grabbed a can of tuff stuff, and what do you know? Came right out. THESE PEOPLE ARE SHAMEFUL CROOKS IN MY OPINION. DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOUR MONEY. THEY ALL NEED TO GET A NEW JOB. It would have been so easy to just vacuum the car out.. jeez More
