Started dealing process with out the d Visited dealer 4/13/15 looking for a new jeep. Pleasent surprise was the salesman JJ but that's where it ended. Started dealing process with out the door price, which includes all taxes and fees with JJ. After a few trips to the manager Steve, I said thanks, but that's not the price I would pay. After getting in my car and backing out, Steve sends JJ after me and accepts my offer. I go back inside, happy with the deal, and start the financing process. After signing a ton of forms, we get to the numbers' sheet and my out the door price was at top with tax, title, doc fee of $499 and few other random fees added, no out the door price I agreed on . I brought this to the attention of the finance manager and he called in JJ to clarify because Steve was already gone. The salesman told him the price was out the door deal and Steve must have forgotten to take off the other charges. Finance man Kenny calls Steve to discuss, I can hear everything because Steve in screaming like a mad 3 year old, telling Kenny it was never OTD deal and to handle the problem. Needless to say, I left the dealer without the Jeep. I contacted JJ the next day to see what happened and try to find a way to negotiate the purchase. JJ said Steve claimed he didn't hear JJ say "out the door." This is impossible unless JJ never made it clear. Every offer i discussed went back and forth contained the words "out the door.". I gave him the benifit of the doubt and offered to pay the sales tax on the deal but not the doc fee of $499 (we all know this is a total BS way to make extra on a deal).. Steves reply, "No! I gave you my best deal." Advise for Steve: take a listening class or find another profession. I would love to give a car dealer a good rating just once. I have located the exact same vehicle 150 miles away and their price online with discount is $500 cheaper than Steve's best price-- not to mention, this is without any negotiations . Needless to say I'm going to that dealer this weekend to purchase. To bad for JJ AND Steve. More
