My granddaughter found a used car on the website and we drove to this dealership to view and drive it. He justified the pricing as additional “dealer installed” accessories and extended warranty. We were looking at a certified so as to stay in her budget ( not to have to buy a warranty). He then offered to discount the garbage accessories down to just under $5000. We later found the car on their website for $500 less than originally advertised…which would have made the deal. This place was horrible BTW Samantha was super. Management not even close More
I stopped in to Kia of El Cajon to get quote for selling tbem my used Forte. Sold my Truck to team Kia of El Cajon on April 2nd. They needed to pay off loan balance and myself . Had a large amount of equity in the vehicle. The sales manager told me I would receive payment within 3 b needed to pay off loan balance and myself . Had a large amount of equity in the vehicle. The sales manager told me I would receive payment within 3 business days. Weeks went by with no payment and finally was paid on April 27th. They told me the reason it took so long was because they had to have the title before I could be paid. 5 days after they paid me I received a parking ticket for the vehicle. It was issued in La Jolla on April 20th. How is my truck in La Jolla getting parking tickets when I sold it to a dealer in El Cajon that had no legal right or sell the vehicle without a title . A lot of lies being told at this car dealership. I will be calling an attorney on Monday . Hope they can prove my truck wasn't sold before I was paid. Believe this is called theft. More
COVID ALERT SERVICE DEPARTMENT... THEY DO NOT SANITIZE OR CLEAN THEIR VEHICLES!!! I purchased my vehicle on March 22, 2021 shortly after on April 1st 2021 I had to take my vehicle in due to an oil leak! B CLEAN THEIR VEHICLES!!! I purchased my vehicle on March 22, 2021 shortly after on April 1st 2021 I had to take my vehicle in due to an oil leak! Before arriving to the dealership it started over heating.... the check engine light came on and the car started over heating! Almost 3 weeks on 04/22/2021 it was finally ready SO I THOUGHT... BEWARE OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! The back driver side bumper was bumped/hit and left a black mark across the back!! The passenger side of the bumper looks as though it was bumped/ detached and came loose leaving noticeable scratches and marks on bumper! The hood of the car was badly scratched as though they used it as a working area! CRAZY these people are so sloppy!!!!! The passenger door, when fully extended makes a creaking sound as though someone had the door open and bumped it with forcefully out therefore damaging the door. The back driver tire is missing an air cap! The car I purchased and had only 1 week and 3 days in no way resembled the car I seen today! ALSO I HAD IT 1 WEEK AND 3 DAY AND THEY TRIED TO GIVE IT BACK IN SUCH DIRTY DISGUSTING CONDITION! THEY HAD IT 2 WEEKS AND 6 DAYS!!!!! ALMOST 3 WEEKS!!!!BIRD POOP AND ALL.. IMAGIN HOW MANY PEOPLE TOUCHED IT AND THEY DIDNT EVEN SANITIZE IT!! More
Genuinely convinced all the 5-star reviews are from the employees or their friends/family because this place was a DISASTER. Where do I even begin? The first salesman who actually admitted to me he "didn't really know much about these cars, but let's go make a deal inside"? The manager and his cronies who played the wait and bait game making me late for Valentines lunch with my GRANDMA! Oh, and then dared to say I was lying about lunch with my grandma in order to try and make me stay to take the ABSURD deal. How in the love of the universe are these people still in business??? I am shocked. Lying, scheming, sexist, shall I go on? More

In hindsight, I might put this in the "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" category, but lea TAKE YOUR TRUST, BUSINESS, AND MONEY ELSEWHERE! In hindsight, I might put this in the "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" category, but learned the hard way that this dealership should not be trusted. Back in August, we were thrilled to work with El Cajon Kia to place a "special order" for our dream family vehicle with babies on the way. We worked directly with the salesperson, Greg, who gladly took our $500 deposit and gave us an ETA of mid-December for the car's arrival. With periodic check-ins to Greg over the following months, all was seemingly on-track. Earlier in December, I called Greg for another check-in to confirm our financing options and some vehicle registration info anticipating the car's arrival soon. Turns out he had left the dealership and thought someone else from Kia El Cajon was calling to touch base. He gave me a number of someone else, Keelan, which I called, but received no response in the next few days. I then called the dealership directly to get a status update. I finally spoke with Desiree who happily confirmed the car's ETA was 12/15 and that I'd be hearing from them soon to arrange appointment to pick up and handle purchase. In the meantime, with assurances from Kia El Cajon that our car that we'd waited 4 months to receive was on track, we sold our car to prepare for our new Kia, leaving our now family of 5 with 1 vehicle. 2 days later, I receive a call in the morning from another sales rep, Carson, who very kindly introduced himself and let me know car was coming in just a couple days and that he'd be helping complete the purchase. Sweet! Then, 30 minutes later, I received another call from Carson who had some "bad news" - our car that we had ordered 4 months earlier had actually already arrived in El Cajon, but was already sold to another customer.... After a little bit of "sorry about that" he proceeded to push other options of cars we could buy instead (none of which were close to what was ordered). Later that afternoon, I got both Carson and manager Blake on the phone, who said there was some sort of glitch in their tracking/ordering system and a salesperson had mistakenly just seen our car and sold it immediately to someone else. Strange, since up until this morning, the tracking seemed to be working just fine from their updates? Unfortunately for us, our only options were to place a new order for the car we wanted and wait 6 months, or buy what they had instead since they couldn't (or wouldn't) find a dealer trade to help correct this issue. I explained that we had just sold our car, now having just 1 available for our family, essentially making it dangerous for me to leave my wife and infant kids at home without transportation in case of an emergency. I asked 2 very simple questions related to them fixing this issue: First, assuming we settled for an alternative option from Kia El Cajon, what could they do in terms of price reduction. Second, hearing that even their alternative and somewhat comparable model was not due to arrive until late Jan. 2021, I asked for a loaner vehicle that our family could use for peace of mind, since we had sold our car thinking we'd have our new on in the driveway. The answer to both was- "oh, that's going to be hard and expensive.... we'll have to speak with our GM." Noted, but Carson and Blake had the next few days off and showed no sense of care or urgency to help, pass this along to someone who'd be available, or escalate appropriately. A day later, I checked in one last time for update, but none was available. I asked for a refund of our deposit, and promptly went to another Kia dealership in Carlsbad that has been now more than helpful, kind, and willing to work with us. Bottom line: Team Kia of El Cajon is not trustworthy and should not be deserving of your hard-earned money. I wish I could say this was an issue with a single salesperson, but clearly the experience for our family has shown that the entire organization is comfortable with misleading customers and not having the decency to own up to their mistake. I'd give 0 stars if that was an option. More
