This has been the worse experience I have ever had with a service department when it has come to the repair of my vehicle that I purchased 1 year ago with Kia. I also purchased an extended warranty in which service department when it has come to the repair of my vehicle that I purchased 1 year ago with Kia. I also purchased an extended warranty in which to cover any unexpected issues that might arise with my vehicle which did happen. The vehicle I purchased was a 2020 chevy Silverado 1500 and the transmission failed. Based on the extended warranty the transmission had to be replaced and repaired at Kia in Bend. I Originally took it to Chevy in Bend to have it serviced and they discovered the issue and when they started the warranty claim they were told it had to be brought back to the place of purchase. It was taken back to Kia in June 2024 in which Ethan at Kia had his service Transmission specialist look at the truck and discovered it needed a new transmission and ordered the transmission through Tonkin Part Center and it would reach them in 1 week and it would be installed and to us no later than 1 week. We received a call a week later from Ethan and then was told that the Transmission was on backorder with no ETA at this time and he would reach out to us in a few weeks to let us know of the time frame. During this time, we rented a car and waited to hear from Kia on the transmission. Three weeks went by, and it was the end of June and no contact from Ethan, so we reached out and was informed that it was still in shipping status and that it was showing it would arrive the following week. He then stated we could have a free 1-week rental through our warranty, and he could provide us with a car and by the time we needed to return it the truck would be completed. Unfortunately, the transmission was on back order with no ETA and that he had to give us back our truck with a bad transmission. I have been driving a truck that could break down anytime and no one even cares! When asked about the time frame of when this would be completed, he just stated he had no idea. Today it has been 2 months since I have heard from Ethan, and I have become very upset! Today I was able to reach him. I asked about the transmission, and he stated that his parts team called and was told that it was still on back order and that he was out sick and that was the best answer he could give me. So, I asked him so where do you order your parts through? He stated, " Ron Tonkin Chevrolet", I asked why he hadn't called me, and he gave me nothing by excuses. So, here is what I did I called GM.com customer service to see if they even received and order for my transmission that was supposed to be ordered in June 2024. No record was found they told me in order to find my transmission order they need to have a case # that has to be escalated from the team that ordered the part originally and no one has done that so there was no reflection in the system of any issue. Then I called Ron Tonkin Chevrolet in Portland, Oregon and they provided me with the phone number of Tonkin part Center that Kia in Bend use to order these parts. So, I called them and spoke with their parts team. They took my name and found my order and the date that was ordered back in June 2024 and then went Wow!! why haven't they escalated this? I said who was to escalate this? They said GM. I said How can GM escalate something without a case # for they need a case #. So, the guy goes I can and escalates it and gives me a case #. I call GM give them case # they escalate it to their parts team I receive an email with new case # and escalated to the CE manager parts team of GM. I did all this in 30 minutes they couldn't do it in 3.5 months! I called Kia spoke with the Service manager Josh told him my issues, provided him with case #'s did his & Ethan's Job! He stated how should I have handled this for it was Tonkin's fault not their fault? it is your fault! You and your team should be fired! I did your job in less than 30 minutes! There is no excuse for poor customer service! Steve Eubanks you the GM you need to look into this. More

Holly was incredible to work with, she was honest, helpful and consistent in her communication and follow up. I’m not someone with the patience to sit for hours at a dealership negotiating.
