I was attending my biennial workshop in Valparaiso, and on a free day excursion my brake pads suddenly became an issue. I have always seen Team Honda on my drive in to Valpo and wanted to stop by to have my annual check up and other details, to take advantage of my time in the area. Full disclosure: I've always been hesitant and outright resistant about car help (original dealerships, Midas, et. al.) simply because while my 2003 Element is in pretty good condition even at 106K miles, but there *always* seems to be problems that are discovered and which end up costing me lots of money. I had no choice on Thursday July 6, 2023. Tyler took my call, and asked me to get the car in as soon as possible so an estimate could be done. On my arrival around 11:45 a.m., I explained how it was my penultimate day in the area, I had to return to Chicago the next day (Friday morning) and still had to take others to O'Hare and Midway airports! Time was of the essence. I got a text message report a few hours later showing what had to be done, which parts had to be obtained. Tyler was exceptionally professional, courteous, and forthright about costs as the situation became known. With my ok of the job, he went OUT OF HIS WAY to fulfill the job. He said it could be ready by Friday noon, but by Thursday evening he and his team obtained the needed parts and - because I happened to catch the service center as it was caught up with work - was able to finish it by 7 p.m., ready for pick-up the next morning as early as opening time! Underpromised: over-delivered!!! I was so relieved and absolutely delighted with the service done by Team Honda Service Center! Being away from home and having a mechanical matter and time constraints could have really been stressful. But Tyler and Team Honda really came through. PLEASE KNOW OF MY HIGHEST POSSIBLE PRAISE AND THANKS FOR TYLER BROWN AND HIS TEAM! They were absolutely great, and justify my trust in Honda to begin with. I hope Tyler and his team get the proper recognition and appreciation for upholding the Honda product and service reputation we not only expect, but rely upon! More
Worst customer service: We have a mechanical problem with our SUV and were informed by several people and the emissions facility that this is a Honda issue and it should be recalled. When we called Team Honda, one of the service reps treated my daughter with rudeness and disrespect. I’ll quote her, You’re on your own. So I called at least 7 times in the past week, asking to speak to the General Mgr. or the Assistant Mgr. and we were told they would call me as soon as they are available and this must go through them. Both have ignored my messages and I know they received them because I was informed by sales who delivered them. We should not have to pay as we have an extended warranty for an issue that is a failure on Honda’s end. Your General Manager can’t take a few minutes to speak a customer? This is no way to treat customers, my regret is that we bought a vehicle from you-shame on you Team Honda. More
This morning my car alarm would go off every time I opened my door, closed it, or even started it. Nothing would stop it. I’m a 20 year old girl with no car experience. This was my first experience with this dealership and I was pleasantly surprised. No hard sell tactics. Mike Clark was my Sales associate. He was great. Very personable and knowledgeable. Bought a new crv here in 2017. Purchased a bumper to bumper warranty for $3k. Of course, just a few months after the warranty ended, the fuel injectors fail. This is so rare on a car yet common on this car. $1,400. A year later, I'm told I need a head gasket replacement for $4200 ... Again. I HAVE SPENT $10K HERE IN MAINTENANCE OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS! Honda supposedly extended this warranty to 6 years unlimited miles... for some reason this dealership won't honor it. If you must buy a Honda, don't go here... they have consistently told me my vehicle was due for services 30,000 miles b4 it was due. If you want a Honda, I suggest Honda Matteson- I wish I would have researched, they give a free lifetime power train engine and transmission warranty on every vehicle. **UPDATE: I emailed the General Manager (Mike) twice, and he failed to respond More
My 2009 Honda Odyssey was towed to the service department for a "brakes locking up" problem. They replaced my brake booster ($1784.00) and told me the vehicle was ready for pickup. Attempted to drive the vehicle home, but the brakes locked up again. Towed the vehicle back to the service dept. This time they adjusted the new booster and told me to pickup the vehicle. Brakes no longer lockup, but now it has new problems. 1) Brake pedal goes almost to the floor before stopping the vehicle. 2) ABS/VSA light comes on intermittently. 3) Radio doesn't work. Very disappointed with the service department. At least the service manager Tony refunded ($531.00) for the booster I didn't need. More

Under the direction of a newer GM (Jack Meyers), Team Honda was great to work with. Great salesperson (Caleb) and had a great experience with Glen in finance.
