Beware of shady and unethical sales practices at this dealer. They added several undisclosed fees into pricing and I believed lied several times during the buying process. During the evening of June 19, dealer. They added several undisclosed fees into pricing and I believed lied several times during the buying process. During the evening of June 19, 2024, went in to negotiate a Honda Accord and the sales person was Theo Herr. His manager and the finance person were also involved. The MSRP of the vehicle was $40,440 and Theo came back with a price of $38,752 "Honda Pure Price" but had several unexplained charges added back to this "pure price" on his quote sheet including, $299 for "theft prevention", $998 for "auto saver package A", and $1,395 for "destination" all listed on a separate piece of paper. For those of you unaware, the MSRP already includes destination and handling fees, in this case it comprised $1,095. So not only did they falsely claim to give me a "break" on the price, but they also added back a destination fee that was $300 MORE than on the original MSRP sticker. When asked, the dishonest sales person attempted to claim that the sticker had the "wrong" destination fee because it came from a different location, which I believe to be just absolute horse bleep. As part of the negotiations and process I had them remove several of these bogus charges removed, including from what I understand the fairly useless "auto saver package A" and extremely bogus and imo unethical additional destination charge removed.The deception and unethical practices didn't end there either. I then had them run what my payment would be on the new number at their promotional rates of 3.9% for 48 months and 4.9% for 60 months. These figures came back and when I double checked them vs a loan amortization calculator, I found that for the given terms each payment he provided was over $20/month higher than what it should have been, which over the term of the loan is over $1,000! At this point, I again asked this extremely unethical Theo to once again explain himself and he came back and stated that they added into the price and financing, without telling me or disclosure, TWO different insurances, one being Gap insurance. Needless to say, I walked away in disgust and would advise anyone to avoid him and probably this dealer as well. More
