Terrifyiing drive on I85 with no brakes OnStar advised us of your dealership 8 miles from our location and we were directed there by Christopher McDonagh. He met us at the Service Departmen OnStar advised us of your dealership 8 miles from our location and we were directed there by Christopher McDonagh. He met us at the Service Department and took the necessary information on our 2019 Cadillac. We were on a trip to Maryland and he told us to relax while they checked the to find the problem. A relatively short time later he told us we could be on our way. the problem was a sensor malfunction and had been fixed. We thank everyone who helped us at this scary time. More

They did good for second time around. 3 months ago brought in for new headlight. They called and asked if we wanted both replaced since they had to take front off to get to and we said yes 3 months ago brought in for new headlight. They called and asked if we wanted both replaced since they had to take front off to get to and we said yes. Had to bring in for burnt light again. They looked it up and we were charged for 1 lamp instead of 2. So why did you call and ask? We were only charged for half but still yet that's half I no longer have because someone didn't do their job. When the job was complete we listed my wife's cell for them to call and we never got a call. My wife called and it was ready. Get home and there is a message on machine that the car was ready. Anyway I would like to add that when Chris takes care of us he does a GREAT job. Everything done right! These past 2 times it was someone else not Chris. Chris did intervene and gave us the half price. Thank You Chris!! More
Consistently Poor Service I will try to keep this short as there is a laundry list of issues I and others have had with this service shop. I would like to state that if you wa I will try to keep this short as there is a laundry list of issues I and others have had with this service shop. I would like to state that if you want to pick up your vehicle from a service shop in worse condition than it was when you dropped it off, Team Chevy is the place to get your vehicle serviced. Please keep in mind that my vehicle was a 2017 Silverado with less than 35,000 miles on it. Below are some of my own personal experiences. 1. I had a control arm squeak that I diagnosed as a bushing that needed lubrication. The tech’s “diagnosis” stated that I needed to replace my control arms with OE control arms. There was a reason I upgraded the control arms in the first place and did not agree with the tech’s diagnosis. I went back and forth with the service advisor and they eventually did what I asked. Ironically, the control arm had not squeaked for months. The service advisor was rude about this, probably because they couldn’t get $1,000 out of me. 2. I took my truck in for an oil change and alignment. During the tech’s inspection, they noticed that I had a pinion seal leak and notified me that it was covered by warranty. I did not recall ever having a leak, but I told them to go ahead with the work. I picked up my truck that evening and by the next evening there was a considerable leak related to what they “fixed”. I took my truck back to the shop and did not get my truck back for three weeks. I personally was not contacted by the shop until my truck was ready to be picked up. The only updates I ever got were from me going to the dealership in person. The service advisor stated that getting the parts for the repair would be difficult because GM workers were on strike. This is understandable, but without any form of communication how was I to know? During this time my significant other called other dealerships to see if we could get the part. Team Chevy told my significant other that the pinion seal was not needed, a new yoke was needed. My significant other took this information and found the yoke at other dealerships and notified Team Chevy. The dealership stated that they cannot accept parts from another dealership because this is a warranty issue. This is something that I thought was interesting. First, why wasn’t the yoke an issue in the first place? Second, how or when did the yoke get damaged? Third, is the yoke really a warranty issue, or did the dealership damage the yoke while setting the new seal? My significant other was fed up and eventually called GM corporate. Shortly afterwards, I was contacted by Team Chevy and was told that my truck was ready. It was odd to me that after no communication or updates that my truck was finally ready. During this time GM corporate had asked Team Chevy where the part had even come from and received no response. When I finally got back in the state, I picked up my truck and wrote “contingent on test drive and/or inspection” on the paperwork. The service advisor’s reaction to this was quite rude. 3. The morning after I had picked up my truck for the pinion/yoke issues, my hydraulic brake system had failed. I noticed an issue braking while parking at work. This happened to be on a rainy day, so luckily there were no damages or injuries. I contacted Team Chevy and the service director was quick to respond. They sent an older lady out to pick up my truck and give me the loaner I had dropped off the night before. When the lady came to pick up my truck, I asked her if she knew of the braking issues I was having with my truck; she had no idea. She called the service director and he stated that it was fine to drive and that the brakes were only mechanical and not boosted, so it would just be more difficult to stop. The lady eventually drove off in my truck. What I don’t understand is how the dealership could care about their customers when they don’t even care about their own people. The irony about this situation is that the issue I was having with my truck was exactly related to the recall that the service shop had “fixed”. I was told the recall was programming related and should not have affected my brakes. As mentioned before, what happened to my brakes was EXACTLY what the recall was for. I have had other issues besides these incidents. It seems that every time I take my vehicle in there is a laundry list of recommended services. With a vehicle in the condition of mine, why would I be needing so many services? Also, the service advisors can be rude and quite honestly are incompetent at times. There have been times that I have felt uneasy with the questions and/or statements that have been said by the service team. But, not only I have had issues with the service shop. One incident involves a truck that had an AC issue. The truck was taken into the shop and it was recommended by the shop that the AC be replaced. After getting the truck back, there were still issues with the AC. The truck was taken back to the service shop and it was determined that the truck needed its cabin air filter replaced. Ironic that one of the most mentioned recommended services (replace cabin air filter) was overlooked and a new AC was installed. Another incident involves a truck that had its throttle body replaced. Upon receiving the vehicle from the shop, the truck was idling at high RPMs. The truck was taken back to the shop and it was determined that the computer needed to be reset. If I am not mistaken, the battery should have been disconnected prior to installing the throttle body (due to electrical connections). Also, how was this not noticed before? The last incident involves a brand new truck that had a back up camera issue. The truck was in the shop for nearly three weeks before being given back to the owner. But even after the time in the shop, there are still issues with the back up camera. All in all, I would not recommend this shop. It seems that things get worse before they get better. I do not know if it is a lack of talented mechanics, or just a lack of customer service that drives the issues that come out of this shop. More
