Hadn't made an appointment, as I was planning to check out a few 4runners that day. The salesman came to me less than five minutes after I'd been on the lot inspecting the vehicle. He was easy to work with and accommodating. The price tag in the vehicle was $1000 higher than what was listed on the website. He quickly changed the price on the documents he'd drawn up without hesitation. The first issue I had was that the lid for the center console/arm rest was beige and had a small rip in it. This was not reflected on the pictures of the vehicle posted on the website. Initially I was told it would not be replaced, but upon pointing out the rip, the salesman agreed it should be replaced. A month later, and several phone calls and text messages with the salesman, the lid has still not been replaced. After two weeks, I was informed the part had not arrived, and that he had re-ordered it for me and that it would hopefully be available by Friday (this conversation was on a Tuesday). I was unable to make it to the dealership, so I reached out a week AFTER the Friday i was informed it should (hopefully) arrive. The salesman was not in that day, but replied via text (on his day-off, thank you for that at least) he would would check the following day when he was at the dealership. By the afternoon, I'd not heard anything so I called but he wasn't around to answer. Called again 30 minutes later; no answer. Not a big deal; he could be with customers or on break or whatever. The problem that I have is that it has been a month of waiting for this part, with all the contact being on my end. Nobody has reached out to me to let me know of any delays, or that it has arrived or anything. At this point, I can't help but to believe this part hasn't been ordered at any point. period. I found it rather interesting that they could remove the part off the vehicle I had purchased to replace for someone else, but for some reason, that courtesy could not be extended to me. I've gone ahead and found the part myself online and ordered it out of my own pocket, as working with the dealership on something they agreed to amend has yielded nothing. I might leave it as-is for now and swap the lid/armrest out if I ever plan to sell/trade the vehicle. I work in construction which means carpooling with co-workers, and having a whole new set of people to carpool with every few months as the jobs change will certainly make the mismatched, ripped lid an interesting conversation piece. When I picked up the vehicle the day I drove it off the lot, I hadn't noticed the driver's seat floor mat was missing. It had the courtesy protective paper over it, and since I wear work boots, I didn't remove it until I got home. Online pictures show all four mats. Mistakes happen. I emailed the salesman about this and received no response regarding this issue. The listing online also noted the vehicle came with running boards. There were none. Although there were clearly none in the pictures. Also, a member of their finance team assured me the dealership worked with my bank for financing. It was only after I'd signed all the necessary paperwork and had moved on to hammering out the financial details that I was informed by the Finance Dept. Manager that they do not, in fact, work with my bank. Once again, mistakes happen. My problem is this person made no effort to correct himself. In other words, he just straight-up lied to me; that is how I'm perceiving it anyway. I've attached pictures of the lid as seen on Expressway Toyota's website, pictures showing there were indeed five mats, running boards listed in the description, and finally my communication attempts to have this things remedied (with personal info blocked out of course) I Would not do business with Expressway Toyota in the future, nor would I endorse them to prospective buyers. Funny how "The Owner" responds to all the one-sentence five-star reviews on google, but has no comments for the thorough, detailed negative reviews More
