On 10/28 I dropped off my car for an inspection and wiper blade change. When I got my car back there was damage to the dashboard. They made me wait for 2.5 weeks to tell me that the damage cannot be fixed be blade change. When I got my car back there was damage to the dashboard. They made me wait for 2.5 weeks to tell me that the damage cannot be fixed because it's over the airbag. They offered me a transmission flush or 2 oil changes. This does not come close to covering the cost of a new dashboard (since they admit the damage can't be fixed, the only option is replacement). Today, I went it to turn down the transmission flush and request documents showing which services I have done in the last year or two. They were not able to provide this as apparently they do not keep records of the work you've had done on your car. The customer service rep wanted me to speak to the manager who proceeded to imply that the damage never happened in their service department (I guess it just magically appeared there between drop off and pick up). He also acted as if a new dashboard was an unreasonable request. He told me that if they order the replacement dashboard the tech who worked on my car would lose his job and be fired and asked me if that is what I wanted. Then he said that I would be responsible for a man losing his job and "would have to be the one to deal with that". This kind of emotional manipulation is not customer service. The lack of accountability demonstrated by the service manager, the disrespect, and disregard shown should be a warning to any future customers of the service department. They will not take you seriously, will give you the run around, and try their best to blame you for the damage that they caused. More
