I had recently bought a used 2018 Kia Optima from another dealer, and was having intermittant issues with the transmission downshifting harshly when slowing down. I made and appointment and left my car at night for the next day. They verified the car is still under Kias warranty for 23 more months. They were able to duplicate the issue once, updated the software for the transmission computer, and checked the entire vehicle over. They texted me, emailed me an then called when the car was all set. If the issue were to arise again, they'll take care of it they said as the engine and trans. are covered under warranty. When i got there to pick up the car, it was parked right outside the door, the advisor unlocked the doors, removed the tag from the windshield, protective coverings and thanked me for the business. If I have any issues covered under warranty, I'll be back. More
I am requesting any help please. I have been dealing with this issue since we purchased the car, anytime the weather is below 40 degrees the car does not start. We have brought it to the dealership numerous times and they change different parts and still no luck.. my car has been in and out of the dealership since Nov 2020 and they change one piece, we pick it up and then it doesn’t start when it gets cold.. the car gets tow back to the Tasca Kia dealership in Johnston RI and they have seen the issue , state they change something else and here we are again... it’s now March 2021 .. we finally got the vehicle back Thursday March 11th and the car started perfectly.. we drove to Connecticut , checked into the hotel and went back to grab lunch and the car doesn’t start.. it’s currently 33 degrees here .. and my car doesn’t work.. this is a new car!! New car and I’m in a different state with my 10year old and no vehicle... I called the dealership, spoke with the manager Dennis who made the situation worse.. we have been so patient, we have paid our monthly bill which is over 500 a month with no problem, we have towed the car there more than 8 times and never complained but he basically told us to find a way home, they would not give me a rental even if it’s just to get home and said to have the car tow to a dealership in Connecticut by calling the Roadside assistance.. and have a new dealership work on the issue .. this guy was a total jerk... he didn’t care that I’m 2 and a half hours away from my house . That my daughter is with me and then got so mad and hung up on me. we call back and now they are now closed!! How is this possible . Do I need to get a lawyer involved?? According to The dealership it’s not a common problem for the Cadenza but a issue with my Kia specifically.. how can the same issue occur over 2 years during the winter and no one figures this out.. ?? I’m desperate I need to get home and all I get is I’m sorry and no solutions .. I know one customer doesn’t mean anything to the Tasca Kia in Johnston because it’s not their family stranded but it’s my family and I’m desperate .. maybe if I call channel 10 news and expose the service I’m getting they may do something to get me home.. Kia probably doesn’t care about their customers but maybe they care about the possibility of losing money :( so sad that companies so big now don’t care about their customers anymore .. is it because we are Hispanic that the manager hung up on us ? I’m so angry for buying a Kia , angry at myself for paying so much money for a car that doesn’t work . It’s Sunday and my car is parked at the hotel because it doesn’t work, it doesn’t start and now I am trying to rent a car myself to get home because Kia is not taking responsibility for their car .. the dealership is awful and I’m absolutely shocked. More

They don't seem to know how to hold onto good people.. New faces each time we've been there. From the managers, sales people, to service advisors. It seems like the good one's either leave or get let go. Idk what's going on with that but I know one thing for sure. I don't have a lot of trust in a place that has high turnover. This last time it took even longer than last time (which was like 2hrs) to do a simple oil change and rotate tires.. To make things worse it sounded like there was a party going on at the service entrance.. Maybe that's why it took more than twice the time to do the work. No car wash.. No apology for the wait.. No bueno.. I think we'll be taking our business elsewhere. More

I had a problem with my car that one service manager just said he would fix it and did nothing But that was not Mr Botvin , he went to bat for me and never gave up!
