Tasca Automotive Group was founded in 1943 by Bob Tasca, Sr. In 1953 Bob opened the original Tasca Ford in Bristol, Rhode Island. Just one year later this dealership was completely destroyed by Hurricane Carol. Bob relocated and ultimately opened up the new Tasca Ford at 777 Taunton Avenue in East Providence, Rhode Island. It was here that Bob and his team became the second largest Ford dealership in the world in the 1960's. This was also the birthplace of the Tasca Racing program and many historic muscle cars such as the Ford Cobra Jet, Tasca Street Boss, and Mystery race cars.
Bob opened Tasca Lincoln Mercury in Seekonk, Massachusetts in 1972. TLM became the highest volume Lincoln Mercury dealership in the world in 1986, and repeated again in 1987 and 1988 while also winning the Ford President's Award for outstanding customer satisfaction. This fulfilled Bob's dream of saying "None Bigger, None Better." It was also at the Seekonk store that Bob launched the innovative Pre-Trade program, pioneering the concept of short term trade cycles and leasing. He was also joined in the business by his three sons, thus fulfilling another of his dreams to build a successful family business.
70 years and three generations later the Tasca Family continues to grow. We have been blessed over the past seven decades with great customers and great employees. Better than I expected I certainly wouldn't call spending several hours buying a car pleasant, but today was by far the least painful car purchase I've ever experienced . Sales guy Bob Truesdale was easy to deal with and applied zero pressure. I pointed out a small flaw in the car during the test drive and he brought it right in to service to get it fixed. Finance guy Matt was also very professional and sped me through the mountain of paperwork. High marks all around, including a really good cup of coffee. I would highly recommend Tasca based on my day today. More

Buyer beware of used cars Bought a used car for fair price, not a great price. Car exterior and interior was in mint condition. I asked if the car was gone over mechanically Bought a used car for fair price, not a great price. Car exterior and interior was in mint condition. I asked if the car was gone over mechanically and was told it was and everything checked out. The ATF was a little low when I test drove which was a little questionable especially after a mechanic just looked over it? After two weeks after purchase it turns out to have multiple leaks and transmission needs reprogramming and rear brakes need replacement, estimate cost $700. Called Tasca Service and the women was friendly and asked me to bring it in and they will take care of it. Drove total of two hours to Tasca for them only to look at it and send me off to a Honda dealer. I would have expected them to step up and take to the Honda dealer (next door) and offer to do repairs for parts only cost to at a minimum to satisfy the customer for buying the car and driving two hours. Disappointing in Tasca. Maybe they do a better job with Fords . More
