I WORKED AT A FORD DEALERSHIP IN MERIDEN AND MY UNCLE WAS USED CAR AND BODYSHOP MANIGER AND ALWAYS TOUGHT ME THAT PRIDE IN YOUR WORKMENSHIP NO MATTER ON A USED CAR OR NEW IT SHOULD LOOK THE BEST IT CAN. Probably my last visit I've been using Morande/Tasca for years. The quality of service has definitely gone down. My wife and I have bought three cars from them and they ha I've been using Morande/Tasca for years. The quality of service has definitely gone down. My wife and I have bought three cars from them and they had been our primary service techs. After a string of mishaps (battery installed incorrectly, a/c disconnected, long waits despite appointments, a thrice botched gas tank recall, and unauthorized work that required the dealerships compensation), my wife has sworn off them but I decided to give them one more chance. I made a service appointment for 3 pm and was basically told (at 2:30) that they wouldn't have time to do the work I requested. Perhaps this is true, but why does the online system allow you to make that appointment then? I understood and was told that that they could at least do my oil change that day. Well, when I left the dealership my car was not touched. The next day, I called for a status update and had to call 4 times before someone in the service department actually picked up. Everyone there is very nice, but there seems to be some miscommunication or a disconnect somewhere. After that fourth call I turned to my wife and said, "I'm done, too." It's really too bad as they are extremely convenient and my wife and I are both lifelong Ford owners in a family of Ford owners and former employees. Monaco, here we come! More
