When I brought my 2019 promaster in to be fixed i was not optimistic due to covid BS and the overall crap service you usually get these days. I purchased this car on 4/10/21 2018 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. I didn’t haggle on the price and John, Bill and I came to an agreement to fix a couple of items. Flash forward to the hottest day of the year, last week and I noticed my A/C was not working at all. The clutch was not engaging and I didn’t know why- as a former Car Guy I checked on the basics. I sent Bill, the sales person whom sold me the car, an email. I waited a day and no response so I called and spoke to John the Sales Manager. He mentioned Bill forwarded my email to him. So, again, I explained what’s going on with the car. I asked if it would be under any type of warranty. He said it’s still under the Tasca 90 day warranty until 7-10-21 (even though I didn’t take possession of the car until 4-24-21). With being 2-2.5 hours away (depending on traffic) I asked if I could bring to my local dealer to have repaired- he said “nope has to come back here for the warranty”. I asked if they offered a pick up and drop off service, again he said “nope”. I said, ok so I’ve got to drive to you or it’s on my nickel to repair it- He said “yes”. I said that I’ll try and figure a way to go out to you. I called John back and asked if at the very least they could give me a rental car or loaner so I don’t have to drive two vehicles and burn my fuel driving down and back- because they never mentioned that it would take less than a day. He said he would get me a rental. I work a full time job 12 hour shifts, as well as have multiple appointments over the next 3 weeks or so. Not a large amount of available time, however I did have the morning free Friday 6/11/21. So he transfers me over to Kayla in service. She told me the dates that she had available one of which was Monday 6/14/21. I said ok- I will drop it off Friday 6/11/21 so you can look at it Monday. She said no we can’t do that. Explained it was due to the rental car being out longer then expected. I at this point I said “well if you are not going to work with me I will have it repaired locally and I will said you a folks bill”. She then said she would call me back after she spoke to John. She called back said ok you can bring it Friday. I arrived Friday at approximately 10:30am met with Kayla she got me all set up with the rental car folks. I also asked if she wouldn’t mind changing the oil while it was here. She said no problem. Got my rental car all set and was explained that I would have to refuel it before I bring it back to the dealership. I drive home and at about 2:30 pm I received a call stating my car was ready and that I would have to return the rental car within 24 hours. At this point I called the dealer and spoke to John. Explained that the car wasn’t supposed to be in the shop until Monday and I will not be able to pick it up until at least Tuesday evening at the earliest due to my work schedule. I told him that the rental car is just sitting in my driveway. I don’t need the rental car to drive around. I just needed it to get home. John said well you got to help me out here because I am trying to do you a solid by giving you a rental car. I explained to him that, unfortunately, I will not be able to come back until Tuesday. John said, “Well what if we come pick it up and drop your car off?” I said, “yeah that would be fine since I’m not using your rental” . He said he will call me back. At this point I also asked so what was repaired and how was it repaired. Kayla was nice enough to text me back and let me know what was done. Also, she let me know that I owe them- $105 for the oil change and that I could call with a card and get it paid for. So I did call in the card and paid for the oil change. I also left $20 cash with the rental car to pay for the fuel. I was notified that they will be out with my Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat to drop off and pick up the rental car. I said no problem it’s in the driveway with the keys underneath the driver side floor mat. The next day the car arrived I was not notified but it did arrive and to my surprise they didn’t put any fuel in the car. So I was required to refuel the rental but they didn’t put any fuel in my vehicle that was at their dealership for warranty work. I understand it is what it is but still. So to summarize- -this whole thing could’ve been taken care of, I feel, in a much better fashion. Customer service especially when someone has spent $60,000 on a vehicle I would feel should be a at a higher level due to the fact that it’s $60,000. All I wanted was a vehicle that all the items in the vehicle worked properly. I had to spend six hours of my day, countless minutes on the phone, and money just to have the vehicle that I paid to have in running and operating condition fixed. I don’t feel that this is fair and I feel that the time wasted on this could’ve been a lot less. I’m also not quite sure I understand why when I initially asked if they picked up and dropped off I was immediately told no. That was until I had a rental car of yours and that they wanted it back. I understand that everybody’s time is worth money. But what is my time worth? It seems that your dealership does not value the customers time as much as their own. I understand we’re all in this to make money and that’s why business is in place. However to make me waste that much of my day as well as spend $165.00 between fuel and my oil change that you would think after everything that happened at the very least the oil change would’ve been free. When I bought the vehicle I was nice enough to bring the sales team a case of candles from Yankee Candle just to say thank you. And this is how I am treated, after showing my gratitude, just simply wanting a vehicle that operates the way it supposed to. I am not happy with the dealership. At this point I will never buy another car from any Tasca Group or dealer or recommend anyone do so either. I do feel that Kayla in service did a great job of taking care of me. She unfortunately was not the person in control of the entire situation. I do understand that she was doing what she was told to do. I feel that John could handled things a lot differently. I always thought the point of customer service is to make me the customer feel more appreciated. It must be that- since you already had my money- so I no longer needed to be taken care of. I will not return to Tasca CDJRF and I am not satisfied with the service or how I was treated. If there happens to be any further warranty work ( by 7/10/21) I will bring to a local dealership and have repaired and forward the bill to Tasco CDJRF. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
