I went though the issue of my key getting stuck in the ignition. It would not just easily come out. I started the process over 6 months ago. From finding my warranty I purchased with them, to bringing it ignition. It would not just easily come out. I started the process over 6 months ago. From finding my warranty I purchased with them, to bringing it in over a month later the first time. The part takes a month to arrive, that's fine in this day in age. However, when I go in and deal with someone new because my first service tech quit (life bettering decision by him) I deal with someone new. Now the notes are in the file, the issue is known. But apparently my new tech Mike Shamsabad knows better, than everyone. Laughs at my face when I tell him the issue the truck has had the last few months just because the key came out easy for him. Thankful he still asked me, "so what do you want to do? You saw how I got it out". So I made it clear, we waited this long with the issue, better to change it out anyway. It takes them 3 whole hours to apparently find out the ignition cylinder is "broken". In which time not once did I get a call telling me how long the vehicle would take. I myself tried to reach Mike 3 seprate times in those 3 hrs. I had to come back 30mins before they closed to find out it was done but not fixed. Now I wait another month for the part to come in to get this taken care of. This time I get a rental through them, long and short...make sure to check the vehicle 100% and don't sign anything till you do. My rental had pot and a empty pack of cigarettes in the door jam. And surprise surprise, truck still didn't get fixed. This time it was the "wrong cylinder ". Only took them 2 days to find that one out. This place has zero Profesionalism, I ordered another cylinder but I doubt I'll be going back. I simply called a different dealership, part came in 2 weeks. The fix took 2 hours Russell at the City Chevy in Grayslake was very helpful. Though my problem is not yet resolved, the whole cylinder ignition isn't even the issue...big surprise when I decided to trust the competence of Bill Stasek. However, at least I'm not waiting over a month for a solution, and I know my time will be in better hands here. Stay away from Stasek, or else. More
