As we all know, buying a car can be very stressful. The people that I dealt with at Hyundaiof White Plains made my buying experience as stress-free as possible. I first dealt with Frank who was friendly, personable, and above all honest. I also dealt with Tony who oversaw things and did his best to make sure that I was happy with the price of both the vehicle that I purchased as well as the vehicle that I traded in. Lastly, I dealt with Jim Pelka who explained everything about the car and aside from being knowledgable, was just an all-around nice guy. What stood out most to me is that all of the people involved truly seemed to be looking out for my best interrests. I had been to another Hyundai dealership the week before and there was a night and day difference. I'm very hesitant to trust people especially those involved in car sales but these guys won me over. The owner even took the time to come over and shake my hand on the day that I was picking up the new car. There's a very good reason why this dealership has such a high rating on the internet (BTW, not so with the other dealership that I went to). Anyway, it was really a great experience and after all was said and done, I got to drive off in my brand new 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited with the turbo option. It doesn't get ant better than that! They did not disappoint. Everyone was friendly and professional. I was not pressured nor were there any extra charges thrown in at the end. The whole process was transparent. I needed a car fast and Hyundai of White Plains obliged without any hassles whatsoever. I dealt with Jim Pelka who is a salesman at the dealership. He described the car very well and had given me a good course for a test drive, good enough to get a very decent feel for the car. I felt that the people I dealt with at this dealerships were honest with me, and made it a pleasure to deal with. Thanks a lot for a great new car. More

White Plains was very professional and was upfront with all the details and numbers. The car was delivered on time and everything was explained well. Only issue was the car had a few grease marks on the inside from when the car was moved from the lot to be cleaned, but that's really not a big deal. More
My whole expeprience with Jim Pelka (and others) at Hyundai of White Plains, was an unexpected pleasure. In the past , my dealings with other dealers always seemed to be a pressure filled with a lot of Hyundai of White Plains, was an unexpected pleasure. In the past , my dealings with other dealers always seemed to be a pressure filled with a lot of added expenses at the end. From the start, Jim made me feel comfortable and that he was there as a friend to help me get the best possible deal. He explained everything thoroughly, showed me the vehicle, kept in touch without pressure and delivered a beautiful vehicle as promised with NO unexpected expenses. The only thing that I questioned (and I may be totally wrong)was when I came back with Jim from looking at the car, another employee met us at the door stating that someone else was interested in that car. Somehow I felt that was some kind of sales trick used to make me seal the deal. If it was true then Jim was my hero because he made sure that I had the vehicle. All in all everything was handled very nicely. Jim also sat with me in the car and explained everything on the dash. As of now we are very happy with our vehicle! More
A very positive experience. Jim Pelka, my sales rep was very helpful and pleasant to work with. He came in on his day off to complete the paperwork and explain the features of the car. Sales manager Tony Finelli was professional without high pressure tactics. General manager Jeff Schwartz was also very professional. I called him with a much lower price I had found on the web after I had signed a contract to purchase the car. He listened and said if he was that far off on the pricing he would release me from their contract, period. As it turned out, the web price I had found was nonsense as it didn't include freight and did require financing through the manufacturer which I wasn't planning on doing. In the end, their price was very competitive. I would recommend the dealership. More

I am very naive about the features of a car and the equipment, they explained everything thoroughly and carefully and were patient with me. I truly feel if any issue arises with the car that I can go back and it will be taken care of. More

I knew exaclty what kind of car I wanted, but was very concerned about where to get it. So, I checked online reviews and found that Hyundai of White Plains had a great reputation based on those who sent in reviews. Their reputation is well-deserved! From my first e-mail inquiry to the time I drove my new Elantra off their lot, my salesman, Phil Picard, was professional, informed and available to look into every detail and concern I had. I did not experience even one moment of haggling - they state their prices clearly and make good on their promises. Phil was respectful and well-trained (kudos to Jeff, the manager at the dealership), answering every phone call and e-mail with full, clear and helpful information every time, even weeks after I took the car home. I recently moved to Tuckahoe from Brooklyn. I visited two dealerships in Brooklyn, two in New Jersey and spoke to many others over the phone. None of these dealerships provided matched the experience I received at White Plains. Jim was a pleasure to work with, friendly, honest, and understanding and most importantly not pushy at all. Other dealerships I felt backed me into a corner as they tried to pressure me into a sale. Jim along with Tony did not do this at all.
