Makes Buying a Car As Close to Fun As You Can Have! We have had nothing but a great experience with this dealership so far so far. I do a lot of research before making big purchases like this one, and not only did we get a very-low-mileage used-but-looks-new car at the lowest end of book value, we also got a very high trade in value for our admittedly banged up and bruised Pacifica. Omar, our sales associate, was very thorough and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and to help us. He was a joy to be around and made the car buying process almost fun! Despite the dealership being very busy the day we finally got the car, we were in and out in a very timely manner. We will certainly be returning when my husband's literally taped-together SUV finally gives in. More

There seem to be a lot of options out there and I think we looked at most of them. The cars themselves all seem to be good options. A big difference for us which, in the end, made it an easy decision to go with Hyundai was the no hassle approach to pricing out the different options Jim and Tony brought to the experience. Jim was very helpful in explaining the various features that come with the different models of the Sonata to help us figure out what was the best option for our budget. Tony was very transparent in walking through the pricing and how we arrived at the final price. They are both honest, caring people and that mattered to us. Unfortunately our 4 year old son bumped his head in the dealership that required a trip to the Dr's to stitch up. NOT the fault of the dealership... if anything the fault of his parents. Huhh... *sigh*. In any event, Jim sent a note after the fact inquiring about our boy to make sure he was ok. The next time we were in the dealership, Tony made a point of asking to make sure everything was ok. It was a little thing... and maybe we should expect that from all people at all dealerships, but I'm not sure that I do. It was nice that they cared about us. More

Although they had not seen me in al This was the second consecutive Sonata leased from WP Hyundai in 3 years and Jim and Toni assisted me both times. Although they had not seen me in almost 3 years, they both immediately recognized me upon my entrance and immediately dropped what they were doing to put me into a new car, although I still had 4 months left on my current lease. I left within an hour with a agreement in place to pick up a brand new sonata 2 days later and was (and am) very happy. My only complaint would be that all of my out of pocket costs were not fully explained to me at the time of the car lease agreement. Only when I went to pick up the car and finalize paperwork was I hit with the $600 "Bank Fee". However, all in all my experience was very good and would continue to deal with this location in the future. More
This was the fifth Hyundai I leased with Tony's assistance. I met him several years ago at New Rochelle Hyundai and despite that dealer's deep troubles, I have followed Tony to White Plains becaus assistance. I met him several years ago at New Rochelle Hyundai and despite that dealer's deep troubles, I have followed Tony to White Plains because of his credibility. Now at White Plains, Tony has Jim as a partner and a real dealer support staff, which makes the whole Hyundai experience truly a pleasure. When we need a new car, Tony has always helped us explore our options honestly and objectively, and without Jim's guidance we would never know how to use all of the new cars ever increasing bells and whistles. Next to your dealership's right to sell the Hyundai products, Tony and Jim are a close second to being the biggest asset you have. They are the reason we keep coming back to White Plains Hyundai. I ended up getting my SUV from this location. I initially worked with Simon and thought he understood exactly what we wanted in a vehicle and that we did not want to play around. I expressed that initially worked with Simon and thought he understood exactly what we wanted in a vehicle and that we did not want to play around. I expressed that if the dealership does anything underhanded, I would immediately walk away. Things were fine only until Simon passed me off to another sales guy. That is a bad practice! They illegally changed formal paperwork after we signed the document. Luckily, I caught the illegal change by the sales guy and told him DO NOT play around, else we will report them. They were so desperate for me to use their finance service that it was pitiful. Ironically, they obtained interest rates from the same bank I have an account in and immediately noticed they quoted me significantly higher. So, that proved to me they were trying to get more money out of me! When I asked if they could do better on the rate, they only gave me a lower rate when they saw I could careless for using them. When I told them that they are sketchy business practices, I told them that I did not want to use their financing AT ALL. Afterward, they later said they could not give us the SUV for the price they quoted because we did not use their financing service. I was immediately ready to walk away from the deal and THEN they said they would honor the price. Really?? More Games?? They played so many games you really have to stay on top of them if you buy from them. Net net, we got a good deal but they have very bad business practices. If someone tells a sales person we are ready to buy, do not waste that client’s time with the nonsense. Unlike other buyers I can afford to walk away from signing. More
I was very pleased with the level of customer service, professionalism, and courtesy provided by Jim and Tony during my recent visit. They were both very helpful in answering all of my questions, and were professionalism, and courtesy provided by Jim and Tony during my recent visit. The worst dealership ever, the lack of professionalism is unbelievable. Buying a car from them was the worst purchase I have ever done by far. Their service definitely affects the brand. They sold me a car w unbelievable. Buying a car from them was the worst purchase I have ever done by far. Their service definitely affects the brand. They sold me a car with a broken speaker, they took almost three months to get my registration letting my temporary tag to expire ,which of course, I ended up receiving a traffic fine and besides all that, I had to make several trips to the dealership to solve my situation regarding the registration and every time I was treated like an enemy. This is my return visit to the dealer I previously bought a new car from them. I had been to Honda of tarrytown they didn't show me cars only types of cars on paper and their pricing. berated me for not leas a new car from them. I had been to Honda of tarrytown they didn't show me cars only types of cars on paper and their pricing. berated me for not leasing. he only wanted to give me 300 for my tradein. I went to Hyundai for a friend referred me saying he had the best experience with them. I had a wonderful experience with Jim and Tony they showed me different cars on the property and when I said no to leasing they respected my opinion about it and didn't make me feel stupid about it as had Hondas dealer. they gave me a wonderful price for my trade in they explained everything to me and told me about deals they had for different cars. they were very through. It was so pleasant that I came back again a few months later to buy a car for my son. I totally felt taken care of by both gentlemen. I have already told other people to go there too..They both are very courteous and knowledgeable about the cars. I had both off them take care of me for both sales. I will be back again in the future More
A history of incompetent and dangerous service from Hyundai of White Plains for the second time and NO HELP FROM THE HYUNDAI FACTORY! AIRBAG ISSUE STILL NOT FIXED AFTER 4 ATTEMPTS- EXTREMELY DANGEROUS Hyundai of White Plains for the second time and NO HELP FROM THE HYUNDAI FACTORY! AIRBAG ISSUE STILL NOT FIXED AFTER 4 ATTEMPTS- EXTREMELY DANGEROUS - AIR BAG ON PASSENGER SIDE IS TURNED OFF. This is the second review with a service problem. The first time the alleged top technician clamped off the radiator return hose with vice grips, cut the hose and returned to us.My wife drove it a few days and then I smelled anti freeze so I opened the hood and found what the tech had done. This can damage an engine by destroying the head gasket and warping the heads. I receive a ridiculous answer but was still charged $150.00 per hour labor for this grossly defective work. The second visit was due to a known defect in the Hyundai Santa Fe fuel gauge showing empty when the tank is almost full. The gas gauge tank floats were made with a material that is known to corrode and fail over time just after the warranty expires due to the ethanol in U.S. gasoline. The float consists of arm that moves up and down on a circuit board to create electrical resistance and the resistance reading is sent to the dashboard gauge to show fuel tank level. There have been hundreds of documented complaints about this exact issue, just Google defective fuel gauge Santa fe. The Hyundai factory has not yet acknowledged the defect even though they know about it and they have not issued a recall which is wrong so i am following up with a formal complaint to the NHTSA about this defect. The dealership charged over $400. to replace this float and did not give me back the old parts AS REQUESTED IN WRITING. Finally after a couple of calls they returned the parts a few days later. Also the car NOW stinks from TOXIC GASOLINE FUMES and can not be driven safely, which is a health hazard since gasoline is a known toxic carcinogen. Why would the dealer not use an exhaust blower fan to vent the car while performing the service so the toxic gasoline odor does not permeate the seats, carpets and headliner? This is gross incompetent work at $150. per hour labor !!! Just another gross incompetent way of working and they think this level of service is fine. Follow up 4 days later - Even after driving the car for a few days with windows open to vent the odors the car still has a very strong odor of gasoline fumes. My suggestion DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI because the factory does not stand behind their products and seem not to care about their customers. This dealerships quality of work is extremely poor even after 2 separate service issues. On a positive note the staff are courteous but I would rather deal with staff that are not as nice but provide quality competent workmanship and a fair price without any problems. Additionally the car is decent but if there are any problems you are on your own to resolve issues with a dealer that provides poor quality work. They still have NOT FIXED THE DEFECTIVE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR OFFICIAL RECALL ISSUE AFTER 4 ATTEMPTS. If you sit in the passenger seat and weigh less than 115 lbs the air bag is disabled. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY UNSAFE CONDITION. JUST NOTIFIED OF A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST HYUNDAI REGARDING AIRBAG SEAT SENSOR FAILURE CALIBRATION STATING THAT ONE OPTION BY THE JUDGE MAY FORCE HYUNDAI TO REFUND THE PURCHASE OF THE CAR TO THE CONSUMER. SEE THIS LINK: http://ocssettlement.hyundaiusa.com/ocssettlement_faq.html To sum it up simply ask yourself- Would you rather go to a spine Surgeon that has a great bedside manner but provides negligent medical care and does bad surgery so the problem still exists OR go to a Doctor that specializes in spinal surgery that is a bit curt but provides excellent medical care and performs excellent surgery to solve the problem?
