I am writing this on behalf on my 89 year old uncle. On I am writing this on behalf on my 89 year old uncle. On July 7th, he went to Central Ave. Hyundai to turn in his 2018 Elantra that he was leasing. S I am writing this on behalf on my 89 year old uncle. On July 7th, he went to Central Ave. Hyundai to turn in his 2018 Elantra that he was leasing. Somehow he was convinced to buy it. The problem is that new, the car was listed at $19,995, he had leased for 2 years with $2,000 down at signing. In July of 2020, somehow the car was worth $19,000 still ! Uncle David was convinced to put another $4,000 down and finance another $15,000. Because the loan requested was more than the value of the car the dealers primary lenders refused so the loan went through a secondary lender TD bank. On July 28th my uncle left his apartment in the middle of the night, drove in to Queens and was found sleeping in his car. He was hospitalized and has been in assisted living since. We contacted the dealer in August asking they take the car back, return David's $4,000 deposit and pay off the loan, they refused. We contacted them again in September, asked them to take the car back and pay off the remainder of the loan and they offered $7,000 which would have left David with $8,000 debt. In January we sent a certified letter to the General Manager, requesting again that they take the car back and pay off TD bank. We were told it was our "opinion" that they did something wrong. Certainly be cautious allowing your elderly relatives to deal with these people. If we had been aware of what was going on with Dave we certainly wouldn't have let him deal with them. Dave is now coming to live with us full time. But will be out over $14,000 thanks to this dealerships lack of compassion. Our dealings were mostly with the general manager, but I had to pick a listed name, so I chose the first under management. I don’t recall speaking to a Mr. Almanzar, only Mr. Monninger. More

Hyundai Central Avenue has continuously made sure to accommodate my family and I in every experience we have had from the minute we walk in the door. I have been with Hyundai for over 6yrs now and although 3yrs ago I didn't have too many nice things to say about this specific location I can say I am glad I've stayed with them. De'Shaun was my Sales Consultant this time around and he was seriously THE BEST. Immaculate customer service/presence and together with the sales manager Andrew they worked to give me exactly what I wanted. My husband, my kids and I are happy and pleased to have had the experience we had thanks to De'Shaun. More

It’s my second time at this dealership and my Second lease with Hyundai. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. 4 years ago I was a proudly VW driver and after reading about Hyundai car’s and its am lease with Hyundai. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. 4 years ago I was a proudly VW driver and after reading about Hyundai car’s and its amazing reviews I decided to trade in my GLI Jetta for a Tucson AWD. I was a walking customer and I spoke to the first gentleman to see me at the door. His name was De’Shawn and I remember telling him I knew exactly what I wanted but I had a few questions since I was switching from a Sedan to a SUV. He not only was very attentive to details when answering my questions but also test drove the car with me. Now after 3 years I was back there to lease another Tucson I had no problems with anything, as a matter of fact the service was outstanding. I highly recommended this dealership and De’Shawn. More

Alan and Errol are two of the best people I’ve worked with. Errol understood that in purchasing a new car I was nervous. Alan took the time to break down finances and work with me to the best ability. with. Errol understood that in purchasing a new car I was nervous. Alan took the time to break down finances and work with me to the best ability. Although these two people deserve 18 stars, the sales manager was rude. He argued with me and at one point I had to snap back which I never enjoy. He tried to blame his salesperson for making me unhappy which was truly not the case. Errol is the reason I stayed and continued to work with this dealership and Alan hit it out of the park after Errol. These two men are fantastic. More

Just leased my second Hyundai! The 2020 Santa Fe is a really nice car! I like Central Avenue Hyundai because they really do try to work with their returning clients.
