Make Sure You Do Your Research My 2014 Sonata was nearing its 36,000 mileage about 6 months earlier than the lease term, so I visited Hyundai of White Plains to see my options of tu My 2014 Sonata was nearing its 36,000 mileage about 6 months earlier than the lease term, so I visited Hyundai of White Plains to see my options of turning it in early. I was highly specific in explaining I did not want a large up front out of pocket cost, and also needed to reduce my monthly payments. I was shown a few options, and was quoted a specific lease rate at $345/month for 12,000 miles/year and agreed to it. I assumed the duration of the lease was the standard 36 month I had with my 2 previous hyundai cars. I was told that I would only get this deal if I committed to the new car on the spot that day, without giving me any chance to perform my own research. Since my car was running short on its total mileage allowance, I felt I had no choice but to take this offer. I was also given a pretty low "out of pocket" up front cost for the new car, compared to a large up front cost for the 2014. My salesperson Tony was a nice guy and seemed like he was genuinely trying to find me the best deal. Once almost all the paperwork was filled out, my insurance had been transferred, I had paid my down payment, and turned in my old car, I was brought to the finance office. The finance officer then explained that my $345 quote entailed a 39 month lease term but still for 12,000 miles a year (which doesn't make sense since that is more than 3 years). It also came with a mandatory $895 disposition fee that I would be 100% required to pay at the end of the lease. I also could not turn the car in early for any "roll ahead" deals. He then offered a deal for $373/month for 36 months and 12,000 miles, with a $400 disposition fee that would be waived if I got a new Hyundai. Basically I was forced into paying a higher monthly rate that was not presented to me in any manner when my original lease options were offered in the beginning of my visit. This was a highly unethical manner of doing business in my opinion. I realize that the dealer allowed me to turn in my car 6 months early of the lease duration-however, any other car dealer would have been happy to get me out of that car and into one of theirs. I went to Hyundai of White Plains first out of loyalty, having leased my 2 previous cars there. After this experience I doubt I will give them the first opportunity at the end of this current lease. Follow up after getting the car was great as far as their attentiveness in making sure I was happy with the car. I am happy with the car itself, just not how I came about getting it. More

Juan was very knowledgeable a bit younger but he knows the business and answered any questions I had and was professional they both were It was my second car from Hyundai and will not be my last. I Also met Melvin. Briefly very professional and made sure I would be happy staying a Hyundai customer the finance guy was also very professional and offered certain options something I did not get the first time I bought from Hyundai I don't remember his name but felt rushed last time with finance guy. Watch yiurself in this dealership I did not know that dealerships like this still existed. without going into a long story. I have confirming text messages from the sales rep Luis Oliver. I made an appointment to pick up the car, as I walked in Luis tells me my car is getting prepped. After waiting for 45 minutes he comes over and tells me that the owner Melvin Abreu says they cant make the deal. After a while longer Melvin comes over and gives me a moronic line about the car had been sold and no incentives and so on. So I left. They call me back a few days later with a higher price offer after some negotiating we came to another agreement. This time they even put me trough the delivery process. After another long wait the Credit manager calls me in and tells me that my credit was not good and that they needed to charge me $100.00 more per month. I knew they we lying. The next day I walked into Greenwich Infinity and purchased a car from them and Guess what my credit qualified for their best rate. If you need to deal with these people get everything in writing on their letterhead. Get all the details down on paper and be prepared to walk away. Check the fine print on their internet price they wont honor it. They will try to change every aspect of the deal. Be careful of Luis baby face he does the lying for them. While John Molina the sales manages he is the crooked one. Watch him he is the one who is behind the scenes setting the whole game up. Lets not forget the owner Melvin Abreu he runs this place with absolutely no integrity. He blames his employees for giving too good of a price and does not keep his word and the dealership is a dump. There are many good dealer out there why deal with these people. More
