I honestly don't know how they're still in business. Our tags/plates/registration were delayed for weeks without any explanation; I had to take Uber to work because my temporary in-transit permit was so expired. The customer service was atrocious: the woman who handles registration (I believe her name was Shakita) was rarely in the office (without much explanation), and when she was, even more rarely inclined to return our calls. She gave us multiple deadlines as to when we would receive the materials we needed, and broke all but the last one. When I asked to speak to the manager about this, the receptionist refused to put me through or take a message. We finally filed a complaint with the Hyundai corporate office, and while I don't know if that helped things behind the scenes, shortly after speaking with them we received the requested materials. If you're reading this, take your business elsewhere. Anywhere else. More

The staff was excellent, professional and courteous at every turn, even those who had nothing to do with my deal/sale. Having said that, I must mention that our particular salesman, a fellow by the name of Juan, was outstanding with a capitol O. His attention to detail, including actually listening to what it was I was looking to get into, was a real "show stopper". His determination to help us leave with exactly what we needed was just beautiful. The real kicker is that Juan confided in me that he was still fairly new at his position! All I can say is that if this young man is already hitting it like a true sales expert, now at the beginning of his career, then Bravo! to the owner of Central Ave Hyundai because you just hit a grand slam with Juan! My was rear ended and my newly purchased car was totaled. We did not have the mental or financial footing to haggle anything. It was totally unnecessary. Joel, John and Melvin run all our options, We were still not comfortable the monthly payment due to our budget, but Melvin worked out for us. We appreciate very much what they did for us. My wife after the accident was reluctant to get into a small car. Thanks to this great crew, she will feel safe when she returns to work. I almost forgot to mentioned that we drove the car the same day, even thou we purchased a Nissan and not a Hyundai, we got the same 2yr free maintenance as that their brand customer gets as well as the 165 check points. Dis I mentioned I got a used Nissan and not a new Hyundai? I am looking forward to servicing our vehicles there way past the two year. I can see ourselves dealing with anybody else after this experience. More

Make Sure You Do Your Research My 2014 Sonata was nearing its 36,000 mileage about 6 months earlier than the lease term, so I visited Hyundai of White Plains to see my options of tu My 2014 Sonata was nearing its 36,000 mileage about 6 months earlier than the lease term, so I visited Hyundai of White Plains to see my options of turning it in early. I was highly specific in explaining I did not want a large up front out of pocket cost, and also needed to reduce my monthly payments. I was shown a few options, and was quoted a specific lease rate at $345/month for 12,000 miles/year and agreed to it. I assumed the duration of the lease was the standard 36 month I had with my 2 previous hyundai cars. I was told that I would only get this deal if I committed to the new car on the spot that day, without giving me any chance to perform my own research. Since my car was running short on its total mileage allowance, I felt I had no choice but to take this offer. I was also given a pretty low "out of pocket" up front cost for the new car, compared to a large up front cost for the 2014. My salesperson Tony was a nice guy and seemed like he was genuinely trying to find me the best deal. Once almost all the paperwork was filled out, my insurance had been transferred, I had paid my down payment, and turned in my old car, I was brought to the finance office. The finance officer then explained that my $345 quote entailed a 39 month lease term but still for 12,000 miles a year (which doesn't make sense since that is more than 3 years). It also came with a mandatory $895 disposition fee that I would be 100% required to pay at the end of the lease. I also could not turn the car in early for any "roll ahead" deals. He then offered a deal for $373/month for 36 months and 12,000 miles, with a $400 disposition fee that would be waived if I got a new Hyundai. Basically I was forced into paying a higher monthly rate that was not presented to me in any manner when my original lease options were offered in the beginning of my visit. This was a highly unethical manner of doing business in my opinion. I realize that the dealer allowed me to turn in my car 6 months early of the lease duration-however, any other car dealer would have been happy to get me out of that car and into one of theirs. I went to Hyundai of White Plains first out of loyalty, having leased my 2 previous cars there. After this experience I doubt I will give them the first opportunity at the end of this current lease. Follow up after getting the car was great as far as their attentiveness in making sure I was happy with the car. I am happy with the car itself, just not how I came about getting it. More
