I was able to get this car for only slightly above the price of a CPO 2014 Honda Accord sport -- NO BRAINER!! I have dealt with other dealers in the area and I have to say that CAH provides an excellent buying experience. She was very patient through the insurance process and did everything in her power to make sure I walked away with a car that day. The sales manager also immediately made me feel at ease by asking me if I wanted to be helped by a man or a woman. As a young woman, walking into dealerships by myself was dreadful, and I did it a handful of times while searching for a new car. As soon as he asked me that, I knew I was at the right place. Why you should never buy a car at this dealership Stay far away from here if you want to buy a car unless you are happy to overpay by thousands of dollars. This is a horrible "tell us what price you need and we won't let you leave the office until you do" kind of negotiation. After telling me 6 ways that the price they were giving me was the very best possible and they were losing money on the deal, I made one phone call to Potamkin Hyuundai and got a price that was over $2,500 lower for a car with better features. Of course the white plains guys matched it on the spot, demonstrating they were totally dishonest in their prior representations to me. I only agreed to let them match the offer to save me the trip to Queens the next day becuase Potamkin would close before I got there, but I urge everyone reading this to go to Potamkin first, they actually care about volume and customer satisfaction rather than ripping you off. If you are a glutton for punishment and go to this dealership despite my warnings, be extra careful about the financing they offer you. I told them I was ready to pay cash and was only interested in financing if I could get under 3%, and asked them to check out the options before I returned to pick up the car to save me time. I kept asking them what the financing options were, and they kept saying "we don't know, you have to sit down with our financing guy". I asked why they couldn't tell me over the phone so I could know whether to come with a certified check or not, but they said impossible to know in advance. Then I met the finance guy, and he told me he could get me 6.5% or something insane like that, and when I called him out on the fact that he had to know this in advance because its the standard offer for someone with good credit, he admitted of course he could have told me in advance but that's not "their policy," making it clear they are trying to trap customers into having to either choose crap financing rates or waste time and come back with a certified check. When I said I was leaving, they suddenly "discovered" that they could get me a rate of 2.9%. This discovery took them about 45 seconds. I then asked how much their commission was for placing the financing, and after attempting to dissemble, admitted under a threat to not buy the car that they get a higher commission for pushing the higher rate than the lower one, which means that an unsophisticated buyer would pay thousands of extra dollars in costs just to earn them a few hundred bucks of extra commission. Disgusting. More
