Disappointing... Sold the car right from under me Dick Norris Dealership was impressive at first. I was purchasing a car I had found online and filled out all the necessary paperwork the very same ev Dick Norris Dealership was impressive at first. I was purchasing a car I had found online and filled out all the necessary paperwork the very same evening I found the car. The next day I called and they said they received my paperwork and assigned me a salesperson. The salesperson was nice. We finished all the paperwork and I asked him if I could put down a deposit to hold the car until I came into the dealership 2 days from now. He said, "I wouldn't advise it. The deposit is non-refundable". I asked how I could secure the car then and he responded again with, "I suggest not putting down a deposit". We communicated the very next day and had come to a numbers agreement for sale price and trade in. I was already approved for financing so I thought the deal would easily go through. . He sent me the confirmed sheet with the numbers (4:19pm). I quickly went to the bank before they closed and got a cashiers check for my agreed-upon down payment to bring in the next day . The only question I had was to see if I could qualify for lower interest rate. he said he would check. I was so excited about my getting the car I had looked for for 8 months! At 5:13, he texted and said the car was sold - TO SOMEBODY ELSE! I texted back asking how could this have happened? He just texted back, "SORRY". that was it. I know it's just a car but I had searched so long so I was glad to finally have found one. At first, the dealership was so nice but watch out. They will sell a car right from under you. I thought I should have at least been warned that someone was looking at the car. I would have wired the money right then and there or put down that non-refundable deposit immediately in order to get the car that I had already been negotiating about and confirmed on the numbers/deal. Unbelievable. SO DISAPPOINTED! More
