This is my second vehicle purchase from Tasca. I can honestly tell you that my second experience at Tasca far exceeded my expectations. Many car salespersons are nothing more than order takers and having driven for almost forty years; I have seen a lot of them. David Bailey was the first automobile sales representative that I can honestly say is a true sales professional. It took two visits to the dealership and several phone calls to consume the transaction. He worked as a facilitator between the dealership and myself. All of our discussions were pleasant, polite and respectful. When we finally came to terms last Saturday; I believed I had gotten a very fair deal and was treated in an upbeat professional manner. Mr. Bailey should be used as a mentor to the younger sales personnel; he understands detail, honesty, follow through and has excellent knowledge of the product he is selling. He has the strengths that many sales people lack. The strongest attribute of Mr. Bailey is that he seems to understand his customer; I am a nitpicker and as a CPA; details are very important. He picked this up the first time we met and never forgot it. Without reservation, I strongly recommend Mr. Bailey and the dealership. More
We bought a used car for my husband from Dave Bailey several months ago. Just recently, I was shopping for a used Jeep Patriot. Unfortunately, there were not too many locally. One turned up at Metro several months ago. Just recently, I was shopping for a used Jeep Patriot. Unfortunately, there were not too many locally. One turned up at Metro in Johnston, so I went to look at it. I wanted the car. It was the right color, the right miles, etc. Boy oh boy, I wish I had known that Tasca could have searched for this vehicle for me. Night and day. My experience with Metro was so horrible. When I told the Metro sales manager that I later found several negative reviews for them reflecting my same experience, he could care less and responded "who actually takes the time to write good reviews". Well, with my blood pressure back to normal, I have to say he has a point. People don't take the time to write positive reviews. Thus, my comments on Tasca. Never once did we feel pressured. Not once did we worry about checking every little line on every piece of paper. Several months later, I am more than confident that if we had a problem with our out of warranty used car, I could pick up the phone to call Dave Baily and he would find a way to help us. I took our experience with Tasca for granted and assumed other large dealerships would be just as courteous and professional. NOT. Call Tasca. Tell them what you're looking for. They will find the car you want. It will be a fair price and you will be treated with respect. Specifically, ask for Dave Baily. He doesn't talk at you, he actually listens. He's professional, he knows the cars, and backed by the Tasca Dealership, he will do whatever is needed to make the customer satisfied. More
While Ford is delivering some amazing cars, you can certainly find a better experience elsewhere. It was obvious from the way they played my trade-in value, that they look to take advantage of people w certainly find a better experience elsewhere. It was obvious from the way they played my trade-in value, that they look to take advantage of people who don't know any better or who are desperate for one reason of another. The price they offered for my trade-in was an insult to me and an embarrassment to Tasca, the salesman (a relatively nice guy), and their finance team. As a consumer, Tasca doesn't seem to understand it's 2013 and nearly ALL knowledge about pricing can be found online. Do yourself a favor...either skip Tasca altogether or, if you're set on purchasing a new car from them, take your trade-in to CarMax in Attleboro. My experience there was TOP NOTCH, quick, and easy. They offered me $6,500 more for my trade-in than Tasca did - an absolute no-brainer. Add to that the fact that the much more expensive 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium is averaging about 34 MPG (about the same as the non-hybrid model, and MUCH less than the STILL ADVERTISED 47 MPG) and lesson learned. This was my first experience purchasing a new vehicle at Tasca. The purchase experience was superb and Stephen was extremely helpful without being overbearing. It made my decision that much easier. Eva and Bayo were a real pleasure to deal with. Both new their products and were very helpful. When I tell people where i bought my car I'm going to suggest that they also ask for these individuals. I had been looking for weeks for a certain car and found it listed on Autotrader at Tasca. There were no pictures yet, just a generic stock photo. I had been to the place a couple of weeks ago and had Lou's it listed on Autotrader at Tasca. There were no pictures yet, just a generic stock photo. I had been to the place a couple of weeks ago and had Lou's card, so I called him asking about the car. He told me it wasn't there yet and he'd call me as soon as it arrived. A couple of days later, I checked the website, saw photos of the car and called back. Lou said the car had been sold, to one of their mechanics, before it even when out of the lot. If that’s the case, then why are there pictures on their website of the car sitting on the lot? More
Went in with a true price from online. Salesman I was referred to was gone for the day so just decide to talk to whoever was around got Bayo. He was okay, but not super friendly. Gave me the feeling he d referred to was gone for the day so just decide to talk to whoever was around got Bayo. He was okay, but not super friendly. Gave me the feeling he didn’t think we where seriously looking for a car. Decided to go with the 2013 Fusion Titanium. Wanted in fwd in black or grey they didn’t have it. So they tried to work out a deal with the awd one they did have. Told Bayo from the beginning we were going to lease. Wasted about 2-3 hours just sitting there trying to work a price and trade in price. Got up to see what was taking so long and they where all in Tony office talking and laughing not professional at all. Finally came back with a amount just enough for my trade in when the car was worth more on KBB and Edmunds. Then tried a trick by putting the msrp price back on there at $38,645 with a payment of $581 a month. Bayo told us that they couldn’t work the price because it was a lease. At this point I was just so annoyed I said fine and left. Why was he talking prices with us the whole time knowing we where going to lease. If you supposedly cant change the price which I looked online for all this info before and found out you can negotiate the MSRP of the lease. Well all said and done just went to Honda and got an amazing not MSRP price on the lease. If your younger go somewhere else where they actually will respect your knowledge and all of the research you do. I did my homework and they pretty much laughed at me. More
George, Daria, the Service Dept., and Bob Tasca himself were all so kind, friendly, & professional AND showed such a generosity of spirit when it became clear that our Hyundai "Santa Fe" was "dying" of were all so kind, friendly, & professional AND showed such a generosity of spirit when it became clear that our Hyundai "Santa Fe" was "dying" of "unknown causes" and we would have to be shopping for another vehicle. We are very pleased with how we were treated and are most pleased with the vehicle we purchased ( pre-owned 2010 Lincoln "MKZ"). We also had mud guards recently installed by the Service Dept. and couldn't be more satisfied with how quickly and professionally this work was accomplished. Maureen Souza (vehicle owner) & Joseph V. Went to dealership to buy a used car, after test drive and finance application they were ready to do a "deal" and wanted the down payment check, I told them no until I reviewed the terms, they only offere and finance application they were ready to do a "deal" and wanted the down payment check, I told them no until I reviewed the terms, they only offered me $300 for my trade in, that is not on great condition but their website "guarantees" Auto Trader's trade in value which was $1800, that fine I undertand, I wanted to be around a certain payment and I know in most cases that never happens. After trying and trying I told them I was going to think about it, the number didn't add up. The following business day I went and did the same calcualtions they made and the monthly payment was less than what they told me, I asked about it and "Rob" said it was because of a "mandatory $2,000" warranty, don't get we wrong I understand all that due to some credit situations, but you have to be upfront with customers about things like that, I keep trying to work with them but we didn't get anywhere, after we finally found a car we could work with, I never heard back from any of them, no phone or e-mail, one thing is that things don't work out, the other is being professional and communicating with your customers, this showed me thay they are not professional and only care about that extra dime. Next time go to Herb Chambers or somewhere else! More
