Chad Sanders was the absolute best, as he's been on the two previous times I've worked with him. (Sidebar - once while coming in to get an oil change he greeted me by my full name, first and last. It had been over a year since I had seen him. Didn't expect him to remember. That's the type of professional he is. When he helps you lease/purchase a car you are not just a customer, you are family.) Chad made sure I had all the information necessary in order to make an informed decision. He presented all the options available to me. He's always polite and friendly, never pushy. He's the model of an honest, caring car salesman. I continue to refer him to anyone I know who's looking for a new car. I then met with Bill Matari in the finance department. I must admit that I have less than stellar credit. Bill spent hours on the phone with the lending institutions in order to get me an affordable payment. I was very appreciative of his hard work. I'm excited to say that I'm leaving today in a new vehicle. From beginning to end, my experience with Chad Sanders, Bill Matari and Tarrytown Honda was excellent! More
Felix was amazing We were looking at a Honda Accord at another dealership for my husband but then they told us that afternoon it was sold so I went to Tarrytown Honda We were looking at a Honda Accord at another dealership for my husband but then they told us that afternoon it was sold so I went to Tarrytown Honda the next day without my husband. Felix was my sales rep and he was wonderful, he took me out to drive the cars that fit my husbands wishes, 6 cylinder and not a white car with low milage. Felix looked at all of their certified pre-owned and found the perfect car. I left a deposit and my husband came lated that evening. He also felt Felix and the rest of the staff there were very helpful and attentive. I purchase the first Honda Hatchback from the same location but a different dealership and was very happy with my Honda back then. The same is true with this experience and Felix stated he will keep me in mind for the 2015 pre-owned CRV XEL that I will be purchasing in the near future. Tia Torch More
Ignored, Frustrated and Curious I have been trying to get some information about the new 2016 Honda Accord. Honda released the MSRP for the Sedan and the Coupe through the press and I have been trying to get some information about the new 2016 Honda Accord. Honda released the MSRP for the Sedan and the Coupe through the press and on their website. However, I wanted to get a ballpark figure to screen dealers before I go to visit them. Sarah Wright gave me the MSRP for the sedan and a per month payment. I specifically asked for a quote for the coupe! I made counter offer below MSRP since her price was ABOVE the MSRP, and asked for "something", a price that will bring me to Tarrytown for further negotiations. I also asked about financing. Here is Ms. Wright's Response: "Thanks for taking out the time to speak with me and also for considering Tarrytown Honda for your purchase. Here at Tarrytown Honda we are committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers, and I will do everything possible to ensure that you are completely satisfied! Our approach is to service our customers and adjust the process to fit your needs. Maybe you still have a few lingering questions about the Honda Accord or the financing options please feel free to contact me directly Regards,..." I can't go to every Honda dealer in the area, so I am trying to get ballpark bids to negotiate in person. "Exceed customer expectations"???? This site is to write about a "purchase" experience, but I can't even make a purchase! I just gave my 2013 Accord to my daughter, "trying" to buy a new one, and will purchase another one next year. Tarrytown Honda will NOT be in that scenario!! They lost two potential sales! More
Once you buy you're on your own! They start out very attentive and helpful, but once they make the sale that all ends! I was impressed that they took care of all the motor vehicle transactions, the service department filled the tank with gas and washed the car, and the sales person was very nice. But, they left me sitting there for long periods of time after telling me that I'd be on my way in the car within 90 minutes. I was there for about twice that long waiting, even long after all the paperwork was completed. Now, I've called and emailed and left messages for the last 3 weeks without a single response. I've cc'd the sales manager on every message, didn't help. I've been trying to reach the Finance Manager for weeks now. I signed up for an extended warranty when I bought the car in June. he assured me that I could cancel at any time with no problem. On the way home from the dealership I decided that it wasn't a good deal for me, so I called immediately when I got home and informed him that I wanted to cancel. It was within an hour or two of signing the forms. Two months later, I have yet to get a confirmation of the cancellation! I've already had to pay 2 months of charges on the warranty that I didn't want and that he assured me could be cancelled at any time with a quick phone call. They also told me that I could finance the car and pay it all off immediately so that I could drive it home that day, and that it wouldn't cost me any more than if I had paid cash for the car. That too was a lie. I've had to pay 2 months worth of interest since I can't pay off the loan until the extended warranty is cancelled. I wouldn't go back there or recommend them. They'll say anything to get the sale, they'll leave you sitting there for an hour or more with no contact or explanation, and once the sale is done they don't return your calls. I'm looking for a dealership that actually has some form of customer service AFTER the sale! More

After communicating with Sarah for a little over a week My recent purchase of a 2015 Civic EX-L went as smoothly as I hoped with Tarrytown Honda. After communicating with Sarah for a little over a week we were able to agree on a price that happened to be the best price by a long shot from other dealers I have visited. Although Tarrytown was over an hour away I'm glad I took the gamble as I finally found an honest dealer that goes out of their way to make sure the buying process is stress free. Was able to agree a price on Friday and went up on a Sunday to pay and pickup the car. The whole process took a little under an hour. The customer service didn't stop there, they kept in contact with after the purchase and updated me with regards to my registration refund. I've already recommended Tarrytown to my Cousin and his wife who have confirmed they had the same experience I had when they purchased their CR-V. Thanks all, for making me believe that not all dealerships are deceitful. I'll keep in touch for my upcoming CR-V purchase. More
