The service department is a joke, my 1 year old Crv failed inspection twice on Exhaust emissions, they did not even know how to reset the Emission monitor. I had to take my car to Nanuet where they res failed inspection twice on Exhaust emissions, they did not even know how to reset the Emission monitor. The finance department deceptively and intentionally misrepresented the Uptempo bi-weekly payment program for my auto lease. I was told in no uncertain terms that an incentive for signing up for bi-week misrepresented the Uptempo bi-weekly payment program for my auto lease. I was told in no uncertain terms that an incentive for signing up for bi-weekly payments was that my final two monthly payments would be "waived." This is patently false. Making bi-weekly payments over the course of the 36 month lease simply allows the full amount of the lease to be paid two months earlier. No payments are waived as an incentive to sign up for this program. Biweekly payment plans may be beneficial to some customers, but they must be marketed honestly. Tarrytown Honda marketed this plan dishonestly. The Federal Trade Commission has brought action against other car dealership who have enrolled customers in biweekly payment plans under similar circumstances, requiring them to make millions of dollars in refund and penalty payments. This is a very serious area of consumer protection law and consumers should proceed with caution when dealing with Tarrytown Honda. More
