I purchased a 2024 ionic five all electric beginning of January. I traded in a Tesla model 3 that I had been driving for four+ years. Let me start by saying I never ever had a problem charging my Tesla at January. I traded in a Tesla model 3 that I had been driving for four+ years. Let me start by saying I never ever had a problem charging my Tesla at any Tesla charging station. I obviously would not have bought another EV had I not had a good and safe experience. I drove from Florida to North Carolina and more than 90% of the charging stations that were on my route would not charge my car the point that because the weather was so bitterly cold. I I am aware that EV vehicles drain much faster in the cold weather. That said, when you pull into what is supposed to be a compatible charging station and it doesn’t work it becomes unsafe and a terrible experience. Especially when you have two 60+ woman in the car. we were able to get into a hotel only to have to have to have my car towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership, knowing that their charger will be compatible. This dealership only wanted to wipe their hands of the issue. They did send me which I have not received yet an adapter that they tell me will rectify the problem. Well then my question is how do you sell a car to anyone knowing that a certain adapter needs to be used in order for it to work in 80+ percent of the charging stations? It’s disgraceful and the way they’ve washed their hands of it and said deal with Hyundai and the owner Joy Zellerman, we sent you an adapter, don’t call our dealership again and that I’m not charging it correctly… It’s just a ridiculous response and just bad business. There are many other dealerships to choose from. Go to one that is respectful, honest and really does show that they care about their clients. More
